Re: so much pain
Don't worry hun, it WILL get better and easier!
Like most girls here will tell you, I found days 3-5 the absolute worse and then it gets better and better from there.
Once you feel ok to not take the pain killers you will start feeling a bit normal again, they really space you out and make you feel sick! Next week you'll feel completely different!
Hang in there hunny!!

Re: so much pain
The good news is that you're in the worst phase. The GA is leaving your system, making the pain worse, and your hormones to go haywire! if you can, try and come off the codeine, and take paracetamol every 4hrs. Icepacks for 15mins over the tops of your boobs only every 2-3hrs. Should help with the pain. And have a small wander around at home, just up and down the hall once an hr to keep moving.
As for the band, make sure its on right. Go straight across where your bra band would sit, then up and over. It should be tight so you can feel it, but no so you cant breath. Also, if you have some old socks, cut the toes off and thread it through to soften the material.
Couple more days and you'll start feeling more human, i promise.

Your at your worst stage now. All your swelling is coming out and you may get the booby blues soon too. It will all be worth it though. Big hugs. Keep up with the pain killers xx

Re: so much pain
All advice has already been given so just wanted say it will get better.
Defo come off the codeine if u can and just stick with the paracetamol, codeine isn't great for tummies.
Try and maybe get bit more sleep if u can, it helps everything. And make sure you are drinking plenty of water to help flush everything through your system:)

Hi zum, don't be scared. Everyone is different when it comes to surgery. Some girls fly through it, some struggle a little, either way just take it easy. Do you have someone to go with you? And to the airport? It will all be ok I'm sure xxxx
