Revision surgery and my surgeon has left THG Empty Revision surgery and my surgeon has left THG

Post by HDhariwal 10th June 2014, 4:43 pm

I had a BA and full uplift just over a year ago, I went through the hospital group only because I wanted to get them done by Sultan Hassan and I've only recently found out that he has left the hospital group. A year on and I am so unhappy with my results my boobs are so saggy even though I've had a uplift, they are so far apart and just not what I asked for. They look worse than before I had them done.

Mr hassan told me before poking if is was unhappy he would not charge me for any follow up surgery. I have been in contact with my PCC and have had a nightmare with finding out where I stand, she's booked me in for a consultation with another surgeon but I was just wondering where I stood?

Would I receive another op free of charge as mr hassan said I would when he was working for them?

Thanks x

Hi. Your aftercare is with the clinic, not with the surgeon as it would be if you'd gone private. So you're entitled too everything you were before, but they will provide you with a different surgeon. But you don't have to settle for who they choose, if you don't click, ask to see another one and don't let them tell you otherwise.

It wouldn't harm trying to contact Mr Hassan privately to see if there's any option that way if you have your heart set on him.

With these large commercial clinics they don't tend to give you a choice of who will replace your surgeon who has moved on, so if you don't click, do be prepared to have a fight on your hands.

I had this very same thing happen to me and the only way they agreed to me having another surgeon aside from the one they chose for me was due to the surgeon NOT having seen my scan reports. It was a very stressful time, so you may well need a valid reason for a change of surgeon if you don't like this one.

Who is the surgeon they've chosen for you?

As Charlii says the aftercare you took out is with your clinic, so whatever your surgeon may have 'said' to you this will have no impact at all on whether or not a re-op will be granted.

However.... IF your surgeon actually wrote in your notes which is what we ALWAYS advise women to do ask of their surgeons when they get information from them, then and only then will this be honoured.

Otherwise, you're now in the hands of the new surgeon who will look at your before pics and then now. They will examine your boobs and they will make a decision themselves based on their personal opinion. Xx
