safe to detox 1 week po
- Hi ladies im one week po today an feeling great. Do you think it could harm or help my recovery to do a detox. It is a forever product called clean 9 and involves drinking aloe vera gel, shakes and taking bee pollen supplements. Ive read lots of reviews from people who have done it and they say how much healthier they feel. Dont think I would be missing any nutrients as everything you need is in the shakes and supplements xx

Re: safe to detox 1 week po
Congrars on being 1 week post op! I've got mine in about a month and am so excited! !
Personally I would stick to a really healthy food routine that includes lots of fruit and veg, clean proteins and carbs (eg brown rice, wholegrain breads and wholemeal pastas).
Your body is at an early stage of recovery and I'm guessing it wouldn't be good to suddenly change your routine?
Just my thoughts but happy healing whatever you do xx

No it's too soon for something like that. At around week 3/4, it would be fine x

Most surgeons would advise staying away from any supplements until 3/4wk. I would steer clear for now and just stick to high protein diet to aid the healing.

As others have said better to leave it a few weeks, the bloated feeling will soon pass, look after yourself and your new additions in the meantime, there will be plenty time to catch up at the gym once your healed.XXX

Peppermint tea is supposed to help bloating if you can stomach it! Eat plenty of super foods (broccoli, spinach, blueberries) and try and get out for a walk. It'll all help you feel better.
