Hi girls, ok 2 weeks til my surgery and I went to Holland and Barrett today and got arnica capsules, lady who served helped me chose the ones for surgery. got home, had a read and it states take 2 every 2 hrs for first 6 dozes then 4 times daily, bloody hell, and it says maximum taking up to 7 days! well I was told to start 10 days before and a week after. theyr Nelsons brand, confused xx

Sorry no help is arnica for bruising? I didn't take anything but I'm sure I've heard lots have maybe they'll be able to shed some light. X

Thank you, im sure someone will know lol just don't want to do it wrong. yes its for bruising and swelling. Nurse recommended them x

I took mine for a week before hand, the dosage that you have said. My bruising came out really quickly and was awful, but only lasted a couple of days and was gone again. Not sure the arnica helped but I'll never know!! X

Weirdly I was told not to take Arnica as it increased risk of bleeding....  Seems every surgeon has a different preference. xx

I used it just for the 7 days, 3prior and 3after. Hubs used it too for his acl surgery. Both if us bruised massively. There's no proof, but then there's also no harm. If go by the pack instructions than your pcc, she's in no way medically trained.
