Sorry second question
Ok at the moment I am currently in Devon at the inlaws but hubby back to work on Monday (we live in Norfolk) well I have my post op check/trim ect on Thursday. My husband still doesn't reckon I should be lifting my son so thinks he should stay at his parents, obviously I want to stay with him but from my appointment point of view should I stay down here or not?! I am so torn I want to stay with my son but should I rearrange my appointment later or is that not advisable obviously will be calling them too later too the appointment is already 12 days post op

My post op appt is 7 days and I think that's long enough I wouldn't wana leave longer than 12 days and the May insist you see them then anyway hon? You don't want to void your aftercare by missing appts, although I know what you mean with the kiddies I have 2, how old is your son? xx

Re: Sorry second question
Yeah my daughter is tootsie but was prem.she's 22lb at 3 and a half lol
You really need to be very very careful lifting it's so hard when it's ur own child but it's for a few weeks at worst 6 weeks
Call ur surgeon and ask. Plus they will prob want to see you sooner than 12 days but again just call and check xx

Re: Sorry second question
She must be so cute! Well my appointment is at 12 days post op without postponing it my surgeon likes it to be at the ten day mark, can't remember why it ended up being 12 though. I guess I know what I should do really just don't want to admit it after his op and everything when he was three months I am really protective and don't like leaving him for a few days xx

Re: Sorry second question
I'm.one of the most protective mummies out there, to protective at times but ellie was in hdu for weeks then special care for weeks. Born at 2lb 3, lost her twice day 3. She's had numerous amount of blood transfusions in.her first year, born with no hip so had 7 ops to sort that and was in cast for 9 month. Still many many ops ahead if her but you know what it doesnt phase her at all
You don't feel bad about this ur still there as his mummy.and he knows that, so take all the help you can, you will soon be the very hands on mummy again!! xx

Oh my what a brave little girl you must be so proud of her must be such an emotional roller coaster for you though, what a lucky girl she is to have you as her mummy to help her through all of it.
Right I better admit it to myself I am going to have to leave him for a week shame they lived so far away part of the raf life I guess. Funny I listen to you girls and argue it out with my hubby ha xx

Aww I wouldn't want to leave him for a week either It's a tough one! My surgeon said I couldn't lift my baby for a week (he's 6 months) so I'm hoping from Wednesday I can lift him again I feel we'll enough to lift him now but won't xx

Re: Sorry second question
A week will give u a great time to recover and get back.to good health for ur baby. Take this time to recover and heal, rest is great for healing
When.you do.lift them again elbows in at chest and slowly do it ur body will tell if it's time xx

Re: Sorry second question
Omg tink what a horrendous time you've had! Your poor little girl, I hope she's ok.
Gale are you an RAF wife? My mate is, and Norfolk is so out of the way! She's stuck there too but it's so pretty as well! It's going to be hard, and I'm Not a mummy so it's easy for me to say but I would leave him in good hands, heal well so ur stronger quicker to give him 100% when you get him back
Xx

Re: Sorry second question
Gale, I think it would be better to leave him with grandparents- I know how hard that can be (I have 3 under 9 and have been in and out of hospital with my eldest since she was 10 months, having to leave my other 2 with family to care for) but it is only for a short time and having come this far and had your BA you need to care for your new boobs! Big hugs. B xx
