Bra question
The bra that I am in now is a 34dd and fitted fine up until now. It's really digging in round the band and into my incisions I've padded it out with breast pads but is it better to get a new bra or some bra extenders? I don't know if its where they have dropped slightly and now te band is rubbing. I'm thinking if I get a 36dd as the bad will be looser will I still get maximum support? Any suggestions please xx

Re: Bra question
I would get some bra extenders hun, just incase it's the swelling x if you go up a band size, you will need to come down a cup size x but I would try the extenders first!

Re: Bra question
Thank you it really is so comfy! Do you know if the m&s £25 two pack ones are the same sort of fit as in is the band a bit lower like the zip up? I'm going to go tomorrow to hopefully get some xx

Re: Bra question
No hun, the back fasteners are the same as a bra band, not as low as the zip fronts hun.
I've not used them myself, but from ALL of the posts I've seen of other women using them they do all recommend them and find them very comfortable.
Panty liners or a sanitary towel (sticky side against the bra) placed against your bra do act as a lovely cushion against your incisions if they're feeling irritated by a bra band hun. Works like a dream! Xx

Re: Bra question
On this same note girls.....apart from sports bras what do people get for recovery? I've got a Macom for the first week that was nice and simple as only needed back size! Got the next size up on previous advice............how will I know what size bras to get for thereafter? What's the name of the m&s zip one? I got some bra extenders though.....are these to use with the sports bras on swollen days? Xxx

Re: Bra question
Surgeon should tell you, I didn't buy these ones first of as I didn't want to spend £25 and get the wrong ones so now I'm going to go tomorrow and try before I get them :) you could always buy them and exchange if you need to for the correct size xx

Re: Bra question
The bra expanders will only work with 'back fastening' bras hun, like the pack of two M&S ones we discussed in this thread. They won't be of any use at all with front fastening bras.Sassysazzle wrote:On this same note girls.....apart from sports bras what do people get for recovery? You'll be fine in your Macom for the first week, so don't worry about that, after that you should feel well enough to take a trip to M&S is that's what you wanted and be correctly fitted in the sportsbras.
Be sure you have your V-pillow and ice packs ready, these along with your comfy bras are all the essentials you'll need, as well as some piriton and sennakot. Xx
Re: Bra question
Thanks honey I've got all that on order except the piriton! Its that for itchies?! Can't wait for that first big bra shopping experience, even if it is for ugly sports bras! Xxx

Re: Bra question
Yup, it will help with the itching and any sunburn sensation you might get from the nerves as they heal too
