When did u start wearing an underwire bra??
I've been given the all clear but it feels uncomfortable on my incisions area.
Also I'm very high looking in a bra.
So I'm thinking of staying in my sports bra till week 12 maybe.
How about the rest of u??

Re: When did u start wearing an underwire bra??
some of us find it great to start with other ease themselves in
like an hour hear and there, also if your boobs go hards or a funny shape after being in a wired bra, dont worry its normal, if you arent ready you dont need to wear a wired bra yet xx

Re: When did u start wearing an underwire bra??
I actually had a 'discussion' with my nurse on this one! THG general advice is 12wks, however my Surgeon had said 8, so we came to the agreement to stay in support until 12, but could start easing myself in at 8. So I would wear them for an eve out or Friday nights, but day to day in sports bra still.
A lot of girls find they have to 'break' them in and get used to it, an hour here and there and build it up. If they're still high and waiting to drop, they might not sit right and feel uncomfortable. You need to do what's best for you. Just because you're allowed, doesn't mean you can. Just do what feels comfy.

Re: When did u start wearing an underwire bra??
I was told 6 weeks. I am in sports bra during the day and night and in evenings in underwire. It feels comfy I must say and doesn't dig in anywhere. I guess it's the point of proper fitting :) can't wait to wear a push up months down the line to give me cleavage like I had first weeks post op lol xxx

Was given the all clear at 6 weeks however told to gently as In only for an hour and building up.
Even now I only ever wear wires 20% of the time! Sports bra just too comfy. I compare sports bra/wires to slippers and heels!
