Re: Considering not going ahead
Hi sweetie, I completely understand your fears. I was meant to have my first BA on November 6th, but I hadn't lost enough weight so I delayed it to late January and I still hadn't lost anything and now I've moved it to 3rd April.
I have had a lot of stressful stuff going on and losing weight has been so hard, I still am not anywhere near my goal weight for my op which is next Thursday but I'm going ahead with it anyway.
My nurse and surgeon gave me some good tips about how this will affect my results. Most my weight is in my legs and bum area, I'm deffo a pear shape so weight loss from here shouldn't affect the implants. However I do still have done fat around my sides, boobs, arms & face and if course tummy and this will cause a risk of rippling when I lose it but they said the benefit of having this weight is I also have a lot of strong breast tissue which will cover the implant and make zany rippling much less visible.
Rippling happens all the time, it's about how much it shows apparently. So if you are losing weight before & after very slowly and taking regular gently exercise, doing your massaging right etc then u should be fine. Just do it properly.
I wanted to lose 3st, I've lost only 1 and I'm Worried of course but I'm
Still going for it next week.
Also I tried the clean 9 thing last week pre-op, so disgusting I couldn't hack it! Slimming world is a great diet if you follow it properly that's how I've lost my st so far.
Good luck, use these 8 weeks wiser Than I have! Xxx
