Re: May buddies
I went for a consultation in maidstone with transform (a friend had a ba there too).
Don't think I'll be out partying in Birmingham this time. In going there because they do the deep sedation. Xx

Re: May buddies
Good idea, mine is just over 2 hour trip.
Yeah I'll be heavily sedated. Never had a general anastetic, the thought of them freaks me out, hence putting this off for so many years, until I found my sauliman. Off to work now, speak later xx

Re: May buddies
It's deep sedation, with local anaesthetic around to boob area. There is a video of Mr sulaiman performing a ba on a patient under deep sedation, think it's on the surgicare website. I've never had ga before and the thought of it scares me, hence going for sedation (I've had dential work under sedation) , not meant to have the grogginess after either xxx

Re: May buddies
It is personal preference, I spent 6 months in hospital when I had my son (born at 26 weeks) so I can't stand the places! Had sedation for teeth extractions and have no recollection of what happened!
There is a section on here with sedation stories too. Less side effects and quicker recovery, ticks all my boxes hehe. Will be back on ny sofa by tea time xx

Re: May buddies
Hey looselips13 :)
I was sedated when I have some of my eggs removed and it felt exactly the same as when I had a GA for an operation on my arm. I was not 'awake' and have no recollection at all. I think my previous perception of what heavily sedated means was way out. Sedation has fewer risks and quicker recovery so it makes sense to me.

Re: May buddies
Morning, i watched that video of Mr Sulaiman on Surgicare doing an op under sedation and i must admit its totally different than i thought. She was out of it, i thought it would be a case of lots of moaning and groaning etc but not remembering it when your bought round.
Not like that at all! I can see why you ladies prefer it now xx

Oh my! 11 days for you, I am so excited :) :)Cheekymich wrote:Yayyyy!!!... Time will fly by...almost single numbers for me... Eeek!!!...how you feeling missy??...xx
I felt a bit panicky yesterday. Think I had information overload lol Back to being excited today, and getting gradually more nervous, which is fine and expected. Every time I think about boobs (which is pretty frequently lol) I get butterflies in my stomach.
I haven't told many people, my hubby, mum, sister and bestie. Yesterday I told my Mother-in-Law and both sister-in-laws, not sure what I was expecting but everyone's being really supportive.
How are you feeling?

Re: May buddies
I feel the opposite! I'm almost afraid of people's reactions, like they might judge me negatively. So far everyone has been really supportive though. It means so much to me. We're emigrating to Australia later this year and everyone over there will only ever know me with boobs, they'll never know unless I tell them :)looselips13 wrote:It's hard not to tell people cos your soooo excited! You should set up a ticker in your signature so you can count down the days until your ba x

Re: May buddies
The few people I have told have been exactly the same (one of them taking me for opp) all excited and can't wait for a feel! I've not told my parents I've booked, they knew I was having consultations and weren't impressed! I will tell them, and hope they eventually understand!
I don't know how to set up the ticker thing!?
It is going to fly by this week for you, sure the excitement will out weigh the nerves xx

Yes, I can slightly hear Friday calling, but not just yet... Not wishing the time away though because I know it's coming. Just trust me when I say the time flies, everyone used to say to me it'll fly and I used to think it's dragging.... Just crack on with day to day life and it'll be all your ladies turn in no time! Xx
