Re: May buddies
Hey ladies I'm home!!!!!... Yayyyy...
I would say the drains were the worst bit Sharon...it felt like she was pulling my boob out!!!!..feel rather tired but the pain isn't too bad. I have got antibiotics and co-drydamol but think I'm going to just take the antibiotics and normal paracetamol and see how I go...stomach feels swollen already so don't really want to take co-drydamol if I can't help it..
Didn't have any massage techniques showed to me but have got appt on the 14th for my dressings so maybe they will show me then if they are going to...
I'm very happy with the size Hun..I think when they soften and swelling goes they are going to look fab for my size, build etc...at the moment they look like 2 round hard balls...haha xx

Re: May buddies
All sorted with them? Yes. I'm having 345cc to hopefully take me to a D. All sorted this end? No. I haven't started packing. Today I was going to give the house a really good clean because I knew it would drive me mad being stuck in it afterwards, that didn't happen. Wanted to catch up on the washing and ironing, that didn't happen. I'm not letting it get to me though. It could be worse, x

Re: May buddies
Yes I am getting excited actually (in a weird kind of way). Just hoping, by the sound of it, I don't have to have drains. May sound silly but what do they do? Do they just drain fluid off your chest?
I'm glad your managing the swelling. I know it's hard to say as you don't know what it's like to just have implants but was the uplift bit worse? Was it as bad as you expected? X

Re: May buddies
No I can honestly say I don't think it's any different and the only pain iv had is from the under the boob scars, nothing on the nipple or downward scar . As u say iv never had the straightforward ba but just judging on the pain iv had it really can't b too different, I think the thought is defo worse x

Re: May buddies
Happy to hear you're both coping ok. I didn't get on here yesterday cuz I was so busy but was definitely thinking about you!
How did you both go over night? Did you manage to get a little more sleep?
I think some surgeons prefer to use drains and some don't so it might be worth asking the question. My ps has said he doesn't use drains and from what Michelle says I feel relieved. In the grand scheme of things I suppose it's not the be all and end all though, we do what we have to do.
Is the pain and/or discomfort as bad as you thought it would be?
x

Hey Hun...I slept pretty well last night although I was up at 6 this morning...I didn't like the drains but it was over fairly quickly. The pain is actually better than I thought it would be although I am feeling discomfort but I'm managing better than I thought I would...
Just resting up and going with your body telling you...

Re: May buddies
I'm pleased you were able to get a bit more sleep last night. Did you take your co-hydramol before bed? I think I'll probably take my med for the first few nights even if I manage ok through the day with just paracetamol. I'm rubbish with no sleep! I suppose it's just going to take time and we all just need to take time out of our hectic lives to recover properly.Cheekymich wrote:

No, not long for me now! 2 weeks on Thursday. I went for my pre-op today and felt pretty nervous. Only to be expected though. Just trying to stay calm about it and focus on the outcome, for that I am extremely excited!! I know I'll be particularly anxious as the day draws closer so I just need to keep myself in check. I've got lots of other stuff going on at the moment to keep myself occupied, we're battling through the visa process as we're emigrating to Australia later this year, as well as going through a redundancy process at work so I don't know which way is up some days lol. Hopefully it'll take my mind off it!
Can not wait to be able to wear beautiful underwear!
Take it easy hun xx
