Spike underneath skin?
Hi, girls!!
I was just applying scar oil on to my incisions and I noticed that at the end of my incision I could feel quite a big spike underneath my skin. I can't see anything at all - like there's no raised spot or bump or anything, the only way I know it's there is by feeling it. It's also pretty painful to touch if I really press on it too. It feels like a thorn from a thorn bush is in there hahaa.. It can't be the edge of the implant i'm feeling can it? Implants don't have sharp edges do they? I'm a tad worried as it hurts and if it was the implant I wouldn't feel any pain from it would I?
I hope my surgeon didn't leave his scalpel in me and then stitch me back up haha (joke)!
Any advice would be lovely!!
Thank you xxxxx

Re: Spike underneath skin?
I had exactly this, right in the corner of the scar, really sharp pain when you touched it. Mine was a bit of scab, but there may have been some stich in with it now I think about it. At the time, I just thought it was scab that wouldn't drop, so tweezed it out (re the toddler paddy fit story!). It was exactly like a thorn of scab. Bled a little, but nothing came of it. I'd say if it doesn't work its way out in a week, call the clinic and maybe try and see your nurse if you can.
