Post by cupcake1991 2nd February 2014, 8:25 pm

I am having a mini consultation with a surgeon at Spire on Thursday.  I am sooo excited but also bricking it... I don't even like my husband touching my boobs.

did you ladies find it weird getting your little ta-ta's out in front of a stranger?
I know it's silly as it's in a 'medical' sense but I am such a silly sausage and am starting to fret about it... please reassure me haha!

Hey Cupcake.

I had a mini consultation at spire last Wednesday and you dont get your boobs out hun, a " mini consultation " is just a talk with the surgeon, he will not examine you. Maybe email or ring the clinic to find out for sure.

You only get you Boobies out on a Main consultation , im booking my Proper consultation in 2weeks , i only have to pay £100 for mine cos i attended an event so they knocked £50 off of mine..

And as for being nervous, if you meet a surgeon you feel comfortable with, and makes you feel at ease you wont be nervous, its important you find a surgeon you feel comfortable with. I only have bee stings and its crap but i cant wait to get mine out, quicker you get them out, one step further to booking you BA and start talking about sizes! :)

Which Spire are you at?

I had my boobs out every single time at consultations

so just be prepared incase you need to get them out

but tbh surgeons have seen EVERY shape size etc with nieng in the job that they are in so just relax

Also wear a white vest top incase you get to try on the implants

easy clothes to get in and out of so theres not faffing about lol xx

ahh I see! Thank you :) there was another lady on here who went for a mini consultation and apparently the surgeon did the 'whole shebang'! I have whittled it down to three surgeons I like the look of (lots of qualifications and specialise in BA's) so going to have mini consultations with them and then see who I feel the most comfortable with & then go for the full consultation at that point. I am in Southampton but going to Portsmouth Wednesday to see Nicholas Bennett x

At some point you will have to get them out! I know it's not nice, but it's a necessary evil in order to get where we're trying to go. Just remember, they're professionals, they do this every day, it's their job. They're not judging you, they're helping you achieve your dream boobs!

Thank you Charlii :) You're right. I need to remember that. I'm such an anxious person, it's silly.  My best friend accidentally saw my boobs a few months ago and I was mortified but yes, I'll just keep tellng myself that these surgeons have probably seen all sorts...!

oh well im up the north east and the Washington Spire with Mr Matt Erdman, they might do it different , so if you do get examined at a mini consultation its a bonus :)

but defo ring up and ask if you will be examined.

& as tink said wear a white vest top to try implants :)

good luck keep us updated!

I get super nervous (you wouldn't think so!) showing my boobs to strangers, so it was very awkward getting them out to the surgeons haha...

Na didn't bother me.. But when my boys were born we were in Hosp great 3 weeks until they could feed properly (tube fed).. I was constantly on the breast pumps!! Everyone saw my wangers!! Mind they were pretty big then!

You'll be fine.. Don't forget they see loads, so just normal to them! Good luck x

Babe, i was so, so nervous!!
However, when i first met my surgeon he made me feel so at ease and welcome! He told me to go behind the curtain, get undressed and then tell him when i was ready. He then came around the curtain and said 'i know you'll be embarrassed but don't worry i see this all the time!!' and he made me feel so at ease it's untrue!! He measured me and told me my size (to my disappointment he told me i was an AA.. And kept saying it!! I was like alright alright, i get it haha!) But anyway, babe, don't worry! He sees it everyday and he won't think anything of seeing your boobs. It will just be like looking at your face (well just as normal as looking at your face haha!)

Take care, honey, and a massive good luck to you! Xxxxx

Just think they've seen it all before. It's a different experience and quite surreal having someone take a tape measure to your nipples. My boyfriends never even seen my boobs and we live together, but when I've been to consultations I've had no problem taking my top off as they make you feel at ease. Think of the bigger picture.

I remember getting measured at la senza a few years ago. And I wanted the ground to open up and swallow me, so embarrassing.

But if u keep in your mind that this is the guy that's going to make them into tour dream boobs, you won't feel it at all!

Good luck x

My first surgeon was a meanie about my boobs, he just looked at them in disgust hah.

Needless to say I didn't choose him. ;) I did choose my second surgeon and he was lovely, eventhough he did joke about me and my boobs, hah. xx
