stitches exposed
Hi girls hope you all had a lovely day yesterday
Y. I have just had a check and I've noticed a small stich is exposed around my nipple area. This has only just appeared. I'm not too sure what to do about it?? I've popped a plaster over it for now so I don't catch it. Any suggestions would be greatful

Hi honey! I think you've probably done the best you can do! I'd avoid getting your nipple area wet so your plaster doesn't get wet. I'm not 100% sure what you should do in the longer-term but if a plaster can protect it until it completely heals then i think a plaster's a good idea! Sorry i couldn't be of any help but i just want to wish you good luck and happy healing! I hope your boobs are everything you wanted them to be. Don't worry, i'm sure one of the experienced moderators will be available to give you better advice soon! Good luck, sweety xxxxxx

Re: stitches exposed
You have a 'spitting stitch' jobo. Its fine and nothing to worry about... Stitches can through the skin for a few months after surgery! So its always best to keep a check on your incisions for a while after surgery and if you see a spitting stictch that isn't coming out on its own then do keep it dry. It will have made an opening and as you're still at risk of infection just call the clinic, have the stitch snipped (this doesn't hurt at all) and that's it - job done! And the hole closes almost immediately babe. Xx
