Hi girls

I am 21 days post op now and I have noticed on my right boob scar (had it on crease) has 2 stitches still in........they dont seem to be dissolved.

Is this normal??

it feels a little uncomfortable, no hot throbbing or pain...I have read on here it could be start of infection...is this true??

Hi Lovely Stitches help 571992 well I am 15 days post op and I had my incision in the armpit. I noticed it it a little more red than the other and also feels like it pinches sometimes and is more bumpy and raised than the other. I phoned my ps and they said it could either be an ingrown hair or stitches still not dissolved where the knot was tied. So if they believe after 15 days that could be the problem I guess they don't dissolve as quick as we thought! Pop by your ps and have him take a look to be safe. Also, I would keep products off it like creams and such.

It's fine MissT and very normal hun.... sometimes stitches still come through weeks later, just call your clinic as they may need a little snip to encourage them out hun. Nothing to worry about though. xx
