H so stupid was laying in a bath and TOTALLY forgot for like 3/4 mins not to.submerge wounds
My dressing are soaking
Peters mum has,steri strips so im going to need to.do.a change. I remember what to do.as i had to do it last time
So annoyed at myself right now xx

Oh hun! You're only human, don't worry too much! Make sure theyre properly dry before you re-dress them to avoid any infection and keep an eye on them.

Nooooo don't remove them Tink! Just blow dry them till they're bone dry lovely rather than disturbing the wound. Xx

So dont remove them. But i cant see the steri strips just the dressing on.top? xx

I would remove the dressing if it's just like a bandgae/plaster on top but leave the setri strip well alone x

You're going to need to remove the dressings VERY GENTLY' so as not to disturb the wounds Tink and blow dry the steri-strips.
Did you have a wound check when you had your plaster band removed hun? Xx

My surgeon had said to get the nurse to do.steri strip.change but she said to leave them til they fell off when i told my.surgeon this he said yeah she prob didnt want to touch a private patient and he said aslong as they dont feel hot or itchy then try leave til day 14 and change xx

As long as the wounds thoroughly dry babe and you haven't disturbed the wound at all you should be fine. But I would advise 'a shallow' bath next time lovely so as to avoid this possibly happening again. Xx

Looool that was a shallow bath.but i relaxed against the back came on here and never realised i was sinking deeper in looool xx

I had baths with like 3 cups of water in them haha just a quick paddle lol! I just knelt down in them to avoid the above which might be a good idea hun, I was told to avoid showers for a few weeks after my re do x
