Changing these after my shower actually makes me feel sick and dizzy even thou they came off easily enough!! any advice appreciated xxx

Re: Steri strip advice?
How many weeks are you now hunny? If she only gave you that many I'm sure it'll be fine to have them off now, just phone the clinic to double check. :) x

2wks mrsball. Nurse also said I could sleep without bra so I emailed my Pcc and she said no....conflicting advice so thought I'd ask on here. Would love not to have to use them as it makes me feel really ill lol but don't want to compromise my healing/ scarring!! xx

Re: Steri strip advice?
I think steristips are used more to keep the scar together rather than help with scarring, micropore tape and silicone sheets are used to help scarring.
I had my strei strips off after 5days with my righty and 10 days with my lefty and after that just used some micro pore tape for about a week or so. X

Re: Steri strip advice?
Sports bras are 'generally' worn 24/7 unless otherwise specified 'by your surgeon'
Once the steri strips have run out if the wounds look to have knitted together now with no holes then it should be fine to go without now.
As always though if you're overly concerned at all do call your clinic, request to talk with 'the clinic nurse' (receptionists know nothing!) and get advice from there lovely. Xx

Ok thanks cookie will do.....urghh that bit about wound knitting together and no holes in it made me cringe I'm a weirdo can go through Ba and withstand any pain but show me a scar or wound and I'm gone lol xxx

Like you I was given a half open pack of steri-strips and told to use them after showering until they ran out... which was about 3 days so I didn't really see the point, lol xx
