Re: pain relief
After my last surgery I had a high, intense pain which I managed with: 3 tramadol, 2 paracetamol, 2 diclofenac and 2 codeine tablets.
I was BFF with the anaesthetise woman
My husband was given a brown little tablet they gave him after his facelift that he stills talk about. I wan't to try that one next time
Cookie is not "an ok person"
She is the Goddess of this little pink universe and the nicest woman in cyberspace

Re: pain relief
The first 2-3 times i took Codeine and Tramadol I also felt very sick but it got a lot better after that. So if you at any time in your life need to take strong painkillers and you feel sick of them my advice is to try the tablet a couple of more times.tinkerbell24 wrote:hi all so last time I tried tramadol and was ok pain wise but it made me very sick ive also in the past tried coedine and cocodamol and these to male me unwell
I have chronic pain and it was my GP that told me to be patient and continue with Tramadol even if they made me feel sick in the beginning. And he was right, it was a lot better after my body has been used to them.
But for short term pain, as it is after breast surgery, you only need pain relief for a couple of days and don't have any time to "get used" to Tramadol.
If your body accept the paracetamol and your surgeon said ok to neurofene, those 2 together gives an ok level of pain relief. But it's important to take them every 4-6 hours because the effect doesn't last very long.
Codamol (can be bought in pharmacies without prescription) is the "lighter" version of Codeine
(which is prescribed by a Dr) so if you really need something stronger try Codamol before Codeine. The effect is not as strong as from Codeine (30mg) so IF you feel sick it should wear off quite soon.
