What pain relief do they give you after your BA and for when you get home?

PAIN RELIEF Empty Re: PAIN RELIEF

I was given Tramacet which is like tylenol 3 but not as harmful on your tummy. I was also given Robaxin which is a muscle relaxer. I only needed to take the tramacet for about 1 week (until it was gone) even with minor pain just incase. I am still taking the Robaxin to help with my right breast not dropping fast enough! It's supposed to help.

Hope that's helpful!

Thanks, I was just curious as I'm allergic to morphine and I read somewhere that this is what they give you post op. I was just panicking that all I'd get was a couple of paracetamol lol.

Here in the UK you're normally given co-codamol or Tramadol hun, however alot of ladies find after the first couple of days they don't need this strength of painkiller and find paracetamol enough to control the pain. xx

I had paracetomol and ibruprofen on day 1 post op then just paracetomol on day 2 then I stopped taking pain relief altogether.
They gave me lots to come home with, some really strong ibruprofen which will come in very handy for bad headaches etc!

Thanks for the reassurance. I don't know what I'm worried about

with the pain I've had 3 kids surely it can't be as bad as that was!
