Your Opinions Anatomical or Rounds
I always thought that I would want the natural look implants. But now after seeing many pics and reading up I think that I more swayed towards rounds..

Re: Your Opinions Anatomical or Rounds
Anatomicals are great for very slim women with very little body fat at all all due to them not being visible at the top of the breast for them...
However, if you're not very slim then a round implant will give you a nice natural result also.
But this is something best discussed with your surgeon Jen, who will assess your body type and make the best decisions for you. Xx

Re: Your Opinions Anatomical or Rounds
From our pictures, you cant tell who has rounds or anatomicals/tear drops...that's because the surgeon will recommend what is right for you based on your body.
Rounds still look natural, many of us ladies have them and its a myth that they give a 'faker' look unless you go really big or ask for that look...
The anatomical are great for women who lack breast tissue at the top so its not a choice, its what is best for you... your still have a natural look with either xx

I am tall and slim, but I think I have plenty of breast tissue although I have never had big boobs!COOKIE wrote:Anatomicals are great for very slim women with very little body fat at all all due to them not being visible at the top of the breast for them...

Ohhhh absolutely babe. You ask away all you want, we're more than happy to answer anything that might come to mind
Re: Your Opinions Anatomical or Rounds
No mine are rounds! :)
at first, they do look stuck on because its a foreign object being placed into your body so they do look very round as the chest is holding them tightly...however as they start to drop into their pocket and fluff (filling out that pocket) you get a natural looking breast and even rounds take a tear drop shape over time due to gravity xx

Re: Your Opinions Anatomical or Rounds
When I first started researching I was convinced Id end up with teardrops because I wanted a very natural look and had very little breast tissue. But both times I went to my surgeon (2yrs apart) he reccomended rounds, and they are starting to look nice and natural and 'more booby like' according to one helpful observer! Rounds end up in a tear shap anyway, as gravty takes hold of the substance inside the implant and pulls it down into the pocket, giving that fuller lower breast shape. This is what we mean when we say fluffing. So yeh, as Jenn says, they look very round and stuck on at first, but after 6-12 months, you'd be hard pushed to tell whos had what!

Re: Your Opinions Anatomical or Rounds
I added some pics in a recent thread [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] when Doughty asked about anatomicals if you'd like to look Jen. It just shows an X-ray of what a round and an anatomical implant look like when inside the breast. I also added another pic of my own, my avatar looks pretty 'augmented' but this is the look I wanted by using a bra created to achieve that look for me. The pic in the thread is me wearing a different bra, that bra gives my boobs a natural look.
So depending on bras... I can have whichever look I want from my surgery.
No-one would ever know I had augmented boobs if I didn't them to and I have round implants. Xx

Re: Your Opinions Anatomical or Rounds
When I went for my consultation I asked about anatomicals because I had very little breast tissue at all, let alone at the top plus I was very slim (little bit bigger now) & they didn't seem to want to use them, not because of my shape/size but they said there's a risk of them rotating, so convinced me to have round ones. I'm not far off 18 months post op now & whilst they have dropped, they still have the stuck on look if I lift my arms up high. I wonder what they'd have looked like with anatomicals! Hmmmmmm!

Re: Your Opinions Anatomical or Rounds
I was dead set on anatomicals too as I wanted a natural look not fake and stuck on... It's funny how so many of us have the same preconception!!
My surgeon wasn't keen on the idea because of the risk of rotation and the fullness rounds give at the top of my breast. I would say I am slim and didn't have a great deal of breast tissue but obviously enough for rounds over the muscle!
Don't worry, your surgeon will advise what's best for you hun. Xx

Re: Your Opinions Anatomical or Rounds
I have anatomicals and am so pleased I did go for that even tho there's so much negative press on line about them. I had / have very little breast tissue around the top of my boobs so having rounds stuck in there would look bad as you could've seen the edges probably. Also teardrops helped with a gentle nipple lift due to the location of the projection. My surgeon has commented a few times that sometimes, of course not always, some less experienced / more money motivated surgeons prefer rounds as they're much easier and take less skill to position etc. just make sure your surgeon / s are skilled and experienced in both as it could poss be that they're putting you off as they don't have the skills necessary...??? Maybe.
