Re: New and need advice - uplift
   Hi,
I'm new on here so no idea whether I am posting in the right place or anything so sorry if I am not!!....
I just really really need as much help as I can get from anyone who can and I am so nervous and fedup of feeling mistified about this whole thing its driving me mad!!!
So, I need an uplift. I am now 24 but have wanted one since I was as young as 17 (I know, pretty bad eh?) because for as long as I can remember I have had disgustingly saggy boobs. :-(
I am an 'empty' looking 36B, had no kids so have not breastfed, I think this is a weight fluctuation/hereditary thing really.
I have been to about 5 consultations but I am just so confused because I have been told the most opposite things by different surgeons.
There are 2 that I like best out of the ones I have been to, but there is a problem.- One had told me 260CC LOW profile UNDERS with a full anchor lift, and another has said 340CC MED-HIGH profile OVERS with full anchor lift!!
I know about the anchor lift, thats a given- because my boobs currently look like socks with stones in them! lol!
But the other stuff I am SOOOOOO confused about. I don't know if I am allowed to mention surgeon's names on this forum outright and discuss what they have said to me but if anyone could tell me about Mr Adamo and Mr Singh I would be so grateful. Have any of you guys had a successful BA WITH uplift with either? I have been recommended these surgeons by my prospective PC at MYA.
For the record, it really is the SHAPE I am more concerned about rather than size, although both surgeons have said implants are necessary for the volume I am looking for. I just don't know which ones. I don't want to be too big- I want to look perky more than anything, and very natural. a large C/ Small D would be idealistic as I am only 5 foot nothing!
Though I should also mention-
Another concern for me is that I am admitedly a little top heavy in frame already and worried that bigger boobs will only accentuate this. I have very slim legs and a flat bum and narrow hips, but I do have a bit of a tummy (which is slowly and painfully going, thank god!) which gives me not the classic 'pear' woman shape but more the 'apple' shape. (Poor, unfortunate me!! lol!!) I am hoping to shed a stone before the actual op but I am currently a 10 on the bottom and a 12, sometimes even a 14 on top, depending on the shop. See I am quite out of proportion as it is but I still want the boob job because I cannot live with these saggy things, they make me look worse because I am short with a short torso, and the sag degree takes away length from my waist and makes me look stumpy, if you get what I mean???
This op would totally transform my esteem, I know this because when I use those 'liftits' perkifying boob stick-ons I look in the mirror and instantly look less chubby coz it lengthens my upper body!
SOOOO sorry for the constant ramble but surely there is someone out there who can give me some advice, perhaps show me their results and recommend some brilliant surgeons for this procedure???
Thank you sooooooooooo much for reading,
I wish you all well with yours too!!
Love,
Mila

Hi Mila!!
Just wanted to say welcome and let you know you are amongst lots of others with the same feelings and concerns. I fully understand what you are saying and you have certainly given great thought to how you are, and what you want to achieve. That is great!! and I am sure your desired outcome will transpire.
Quite a few of the ladies have had the surgeons you mention and are happy with results. I am sure they will be along soon to share their experience with you.
Keep posting we all support each other. xx

Re: New and need advice - uplift
Hiya Mila, welcome to the site.
I am having an anchor uplift on the 10th July with Adam Topping through MyBreast. The reason I chose him was because he's a breast specialist and I have seen so many dodgy uplift pictures I wanted someone who specialises in boobs. Its also a more expensive op than just a BA so I wanted to make sure I got my monies worth.
The reason I went with Mr Topping was because I saw picture of Renz's uplift and the shape and look was exactly what I wanted, I'm sure she'll be along soon to offer her advice. Also after alot of research I thought that partial unders would be the best option for me, although I had been advised by another surgeon to have overs, which I was concerned would sag as I have very little elasticity left in my skin, so when Mr Topping confirmed what I thought and also said he would remove some of my own breast tissue so they wouldn't be so heavy, I believed I had the best man for the job. He is also really nice and I am completely confident in him and trust him to give me the best boobs he can :) . He will also be giving me low profiles as he says that's what they use for uplift's as you have some breast tissue already so don't need mod or highs
I have to say when I went for a consult with MYA they didn't recommend me Mr Adamo for an uplift, just Mr Singh and Mr Chantarasak and I spoke to two different PC's as I had heard alot of good things about Mr Adamo so was dissapointed that they didn't recommend him.
Good luck xx

Re: New and need advice - uplift
hi hun, u did pm me but thought i'd reply on here as there maybe lurkers wanting the same sort of advice.
Right, i had an uplift with 275cc unders. The reason for this is I wanted a full but natural look and by choosing this option my surgeon said it would suit me, change the shape dramtically (yay!!) and take me from a empty 34b to a 34dd/e
I'm sooooo happy i researched researched and researched like sarahsbabies said as I found a surgeon I trusted and was confident in. I met others and they just didn't click with me.
As for the unders / overs debate i'm sure you can find girls on here who've had both to ask for differences. There is meant to be less pain with overs, but with an uplift you'll be going through a lot anyway. I think unders, personally, are better combined with an uplift as they gave me such a full, pert set and was really happy with them. Mr topping, my surgeon said it would have less chance of sagging and causing problems as they were unders....AND MY GOD....I LOVE THEM!!!
I hope us girlies give u a little help and guidance so that you can make the right decision. If you need anything else just message us or create another topic.....remember to feel confident in your chosen ps, he's the one holding the knife!!

Re: New and need advice - uplift
Hi Girls!
Wow thanks so much for your friendly responses and brilliant advice! I had almost given up with these forums til now. Sorry its taken a while but I wanted to write something proper instead of reading and running.
OK so I am feeling a bit more positive about the whole idea now. I have another (third) consulation with MYA on 10th July but this time I am seeing Mr Singh. I asked for him after seeing RoxyChick's pic and also I have heard that he is more familiar with uplifts than the surgeon I was originally suggested.
However, after reading advice from Sarahsbabies I am also really excited about my consult with MyBreast scheduled for 27th July. I just had to listen after all the good things I've heard so I specifically asked for Mr Adam Topping and thankfully there was a space for end of July. I have a good feeling about him already so I really am hoping it goes well, fingers crossed. After seeing Renz's pics and listening to what she said its like I just HAVE to see him. God what a perfect job! I think Renz has a fanclub here! lol!
There are still things I am confused about though. :dunno:
I will of course ask more thorough questions in my future consults but can any of you explain a few things perhaps so I am more in the know for when I go?....
Sarahsbabies, you said that you think they use low profiles for breast lifts. If this is true then I feel better about what the first surgeon said but I am confused because it just seems that a lot of people I have researched have had high or ultra high profile silicone implants? Is there anyone out there who HAS had the low profiles?
I was also wondering if anyone has heard anything about 'The Cosmetic Clinic'? I haven't heard them mentioned once as a company on any forums at all which I found quite strange. Is there a reason for this? If anyone has any comments on them I would love to hear as they are who I had my first consult with and it was the surgeon there who suggested the low profile unders with the lift. I actually got a really good feeling from the surgeon. Damn I can't remember his name now as it was some months ago and it was at the stage where I was only beginning to seriously consider the surgery but he was an early forties, light featured Italian guy. I wouldn't have really doubted his advice about the 260CC low profile unders if it wasn't for what I was told at MYA. But now I feel like I should give them a second thought. Any info on them would be greatly appreciated.
When I was suggested the contrasting 340CC HPs it just threw me because I was expecting to hear the same thing when I went to MYA. Its like I got an initial idea in my head about the surgery and then that all changed. If they're all supposedly professionals in their field then how do I know who is right or wrong? I know that one answer to that will probably be that strictly speaking there is no 'right' or 'wrong' answers. But it doesn't help the confusion!!
Sorry for all my questions but I just feel I need to ask girls who have had or are considering the same surgery to get as much info and advice as I can!
Its also really confusing when I see how different the sizes result with the same sort of size implants on different girls who appear to have had similar sized boobs to start with. Like, some girls might have 270CC unders and end up with a DD/E and then others end up smaller. And to me, 700CC sounds huuuuuuuge but I find that they're not as big as I thought they would be. I know it really does depend on a lot of starting factors but its so hard to follow and makes me nervous.
With me it really is about shape rather than size. I want to be able to get a nice cleavage for the first time in my life but I don't want that really rounded, upper-pole look. Oh no I sound so demanding!! Bt I really wouldn't even mind if my boobs were a C cup as long as they are nice and full looking and perky. Like I said I am in my element looking at my boobs when I have 'liftit' stickers on! I just wish I could show that to the surgeon and say 'Please make them be like this when I have no stickers on'!!
OK one more thing girls....
Do or did most of you take pics of what you do and don't like into consulations with you? I ask because I did this on a visit to MYA but I think if anything it put the surgen off. I think he thought I was literally asking him to recreate another woman's boobs onto MY chest. But I wasn't- I was just trying to distinguish between what I thought was nice and not s nice in terms of shape, just to make sure that he knew that I really didn't want that blatantly augmented look. He ended up just saying 'No these are real breasts and I cannot recreate that.' I understood but admitedly felt a little disappointed that he wouldn't give me an idea of what kind of shape I could end up with.
Soooooo many things to think about. I'll leave it there for now.
Cheers again for your support ladies!

Re: New and need advice - uplift
I have heard of The Cosmetic Company, but that's it. Its the surgeon that is important at the end of the day not the company, if the surgeon is good and the companies aftercare is good then thats whats important. With MyBreast you get lifetime aftercare, so what could be better than that? Obviously lifetime doesn't mean you'll get a free reop in 10 years, but at least I will be able to see my surgeon in 10 years time for free if I think my boobs need redoing or for whatever reason. You'll have to give the Cosmetic Company a call and get the surgeon's name that you saw, so you can research him.
Dont forget to research implants aswell, as I was originally booked with Harley Medical and they use PIP which reportedly have a high rupture rate, so I cancelled.
Well good luck with your upcoming consults and I look forward to hearing who you have chosen.
I'm keeping a diary on this forum, so you can keep up to date with me on that, but I will post my story when it's all over and of course pictures.

Glad you have got some consults booked hun x I didn't take pics with me but I know lots of the girls have done and I think it's a great idea x A picture paints a thousand words, so they say!
I had low profile, they seem to give more of a rounded shape at the bottom as opposed to the top if that makes sense x I've Pm'd you sweety with my username and password for PT so you can see what I mean x But you are right most people seem to have had HP or MP.....so much so that at first I really panicked and thought maybe he had used the wrong profile as I seemed to be the only one with LP!
I know what you mean, I thought I had really small implants (230cc and 170cc) and they seem to have made them massive looking! Some of the girls have had bigger implants than me and are a smaller cup size so I guess it does depend on what you have to begin with x
I was the same as you hun it's a nightmare!! I would take the liftit stickers and show them what you mean x why not......

Re: New and need advice - uplift
Hi
I have low profiles, I had a c cup (saggy) to start with and low profiles are basically flatter but larger in diameter. The way it was explained to me was that if you fair size existing breasts then to fill the space with HP they would have to be HUUUGE so the low profile is not as much projection as my natural breast tissue would add to that but they would be wide enough to fill my existing breast. They are not used as much as majority of BA's are women who have little or no breast tissue to start with.
I am pleased with my result, I didn't want them massive and wanted them to look pretty natural. I'm only 3 weeks post op and know I have a lot of changes to come but so far so good. Some upper pole which is so nice to have back ! and a nice close cleavage too.
When I went to my consultation I took some cut out pictures of boob jobs from my husbands Nuts magazine! haha .. I was glad that I did as my surgeon told me what was possible and what wasn't. I took some that I DIDN'T like and just showed what kind of look I liked but explained that I understood that I can only enhance what I have etc. Def take the stickers with you, I would.
I would imagine that the Mod HP's overs would make you quite large but then again as you have found out already things vary so much with each patient.
Hope you find someone who makes you feel confident and you make the right choice for you.

Re: New and need advice - uplift
Hi girls,
Again, sorry haven't been around much. Thanks for all your advice!! Not long to go til my first consult with Adam Topping now. What you have said about the low profiles has really reassured me. Thanks! And wow you've got some good results there with them! ....annabov- wow I didn't think that low profiles would look like that so thats great! I do worry that maybe my natural breasts are actually qite spaced apart as it is so maybe I won't get a close cleavage. But anything is better than this!!
I will mention everything during my consult at Mybreast. I now have a scrap book with all the stuff I wana raise with the surgeon and I am taking it all into account.
I guess I will just have to see what the surgeon says but with my 36Bs I really really hope that I don't end up like an E or something. Thats great for some people but I want this op to be something that people won't really notice unless I tell them. I REALLY do just want to stay a C or D. Bit worried because I keep hearing that when you have silicone implants you will actually be like an E cup but appear a D/DD? Is this true? How come that is so?
The reason I worry is because all the best bras are made only up to a DD! I really want to still be able to buy in La Senza, M&S, Ann Summers and all the regular places without having to go for the less pretty, larger styles.
Anyone on here had trouble finding well fitting bras AFTER surgery at all?

Re: New and need advice - uplift
Hi again Mila
Thanks for the compliments, I was really worried about the low profiles too but I have to say now I'm at 6 weeks they are really quite nice and I think the only difference is that they are wider but that was what I needed. They say that your gap will stay the same but mine are closer together now with the low profiles as they are wide.
As for Bras, I went to buy some yesterday and am a 32E which is a pain as I too can't afford to go to posh shops and get big ones, I tried on some 34dd's though and they fit well so I will just go with them for the time being until I find something nice in an E cup. La Senza do a lot of E's and F's in the same styles as the C's & D's so thats ok, I think its just trying and finding what style suits you. If you let your surgeon know what size you DON'T want to be they try to aim for what you want.
I must say that although mine are an E, no one has noticed them even though they are much bigger than they were. I don't go out with them hanging out as such (although I think people may have a look when in bikini next week on hols!!!) but other than that I've got away with it !
I'm sure you will get what you want and hope all goes well .. look forward to hearing how it goes.
