Hi ladies, I am due to have an uplift and ba in September with Anthony Armstrong at the Spire Reading.  I can only take a week off work but have read some of the posts that said it tool much longer to recover.  I work in an office so no heavy lifting, do you think a week is enough?  thanks for your help

Hi Kel,
Im still Pre BA too...im booked in for September aswell, whens your date? Im the 8th :)

From research on here ive seen that many girls do say that a week is enough as long as you haven't got a physical job and take it easy when you go back but others suggest two weeks or ten days. What placements are you having unders or overs? Unders are normally more uncomfortable and bare in mind that your having a lift also. You said you work in an office so 7 days may be ok I would imagine although everyone will heal differently!

Hey there kel, I had an uplift with 375cc implants on April 20th. I don't think I could've gonna back to work after one week, I went to visit my sister 7 days p/o and swelled right back up and was in a lot of discomfort. But healing is very individual and hopefully you'll be alright! Xx

Hey, I replied on your other post about anthony armstrong :) I can't advise about the uplift but I took a week off work as holiday. Mr armstrong advised as I work in an office a week off would be fine. Two days after surgery spire had posted me a doctors note signing me off unfit for work for two weeks. I'm not sure if they felt this was necessary as I have suffered from pneumonia a few times in the past? I'm 19 days post op and although I haven't experienced any pain just discomfort it's still difficult for me to do every day things. It does get easier and its different for everyone but personally the extra week off for me has been a god send as I prob would have overdone it a bit at work x

I don't think a week is enough after an uplift babe. Its a lot more invasive than a BA and you need time for your body to recover. You could leave the week booked off and see how you go then maybe get a sick note if you feel you need it (which I think you will).

I'd personally take the 2 weeks off if you can hun. Xx

Just to add a big welcome Kel wavey

As you're pre BA you might find the information we have in the 'Breast Augmentation Information' section of the forum of interest to you. Its filled with so much to help you better understand the procedure and to help yourself feel better prepared. Any questions or concerns you might have just ask away here in the uplift section of the forum were no questions ever go unanswered and our lovely ladies will always be more than happy to help you if they can.

You might also like to post your surgery details in the 'Calendar Entries' section of the forum (not the actual calendar) so we can all send on our good luck wishes your way on your special day!

Enjoy the forum Kel. Xx

I had a BA and uplift and needed 6 weeks off work as I have a manual job. I couldnt even drive for about 2 weeks! If I worked in an office I would have been ready to go back at about week 3.

My doctors note just said hospitalisation on the reason for being unfit for work. Might be worth speaking to Spire about this :) x

Your GP or your surgeon will be able to give you a sick note babe. 'Generally' they just write 'general surgery' on the note which could mean anything.

Many women on here have used the excuse that it referred to 'lady problems' if asked and they'd prefer not to discuss it.

That would generally shut anyone up lol. Xx
