Be honest girlie's does it hurt?
Hi girls,
Still a long way off my BA but want to be prepared as much as possible, how much does it hurt? I know everyone has different pain thresholds but on a rating of 1 to 10 (10 being the worst pain ever) what would you say?
I'm such a whimp ha ha :dunno:

Re: Be honest girlie's does it hurt?
Well, for me personally I had absolutely no post-op pain at all (and I had unders!) so I'd have to say 0. I just felt a bit tired in the afternoons. But then I did have a relatively small implant - I think it can hurt a bit more if you have a larger one.
It's uncomfortable in some ways though. For example wearing a sports bra all the time, sleeping (or trying to sleep!) upright, getting constipated :pale: , but those things don't give you any pain as such ..

Ditto!!! No pain...aches and stiffness!
Oh! and the worst bit........ smelly days  Now that is a big 10!!
You are preparing!!!....try to think positive thoughts!!!
Yes, it is awkward and funny, when you try to do things and your boobs get in the way i.e. opening doors, cupboards and forget they are in the way etc. But that is good...mostly they bring big smiles of contentment...Enjoy xx
P.S. I had full under the muscle.

Me too, i didnt experience any pain, just achey/heavy boobs in the morning or if i was walking alot for a couple of weeks. But staying on top of pain meds is important, theres no need to be sore or in painAnnie66 wrote:Well, for me personally I had absolutely no post-op pain at all (and I had unders!) so I'd have to say 0. Re: Be honest girlie's does it hurt?
I have to say I found it quite painful! I had unders and I'm not sure if its because my muscles are very strong. The day of the op and day after I was just a bit uncomfortable but days 3 and 4 were very painful - more like a burning (a bit like mastitus). I have quite a high pain threshold (gave birth to my last baby with no pain relief) but I did find my ba painful - maybe a 5 or 6. Everyone is differnt though and the majority of people seem to have less pain than I did! Good luck and get some Arnica -I'm sure thats what helped me in the week after my surgery!

I didnt have any real pain, just achey. I was surprised as I expected it to be really painful. I had my daughter without pain relief so it was absolutely nothing compared to that. You'll be fine x

Re: Be honest girlie's does it hurt?
If I was in pain, I really don't remember it now (maybe my diary would shed more light!)
The only pain I remember is from the Califig that I took as I didn't poo for a few days! Like the others said, it was more achey and uncomfortable. Also, not having a shower made me feel icky.

I had unders and would have to say a 3. Wasnt really that painful just awkward to do things like get out of bed, etc.
Most uncomfortable thing for me was the compression bandage the first 48 hours, that I would give an 8. Once it was removed it was relief xx

Re: Be honest girlie's does it hurt?
i agree with all the other girls, it's more achey and uncomfortable trying to sleep the first few nights.
i had pain under my boobs on my ribs really, it comes and goes but it's nothing major.
i have had 3 b/a s now so it really can't be that bad or i wouldn't have gone back lol.
don't worry hunny you will be fine, just look forward to your new xxx

Re: Be honest girlie's does it hurt?
Yeah me too...I had unders and it was mostly just a pain not being able to do things - getting up in the morning was impossible!!! And frustrating!!
Days 4-5 were worst...I had a weird burning pain behind one of my nipples when I leant forward and that was horrible but only lasted a few days - must have been the nerves knitting back together.
I also had small implants (255cc) and had breastfed 2 babies so my skin had been stretched before - think that made a difference. But it was sooo much easier than I expected and the only real discomfort I felt was where the muscle had been cut (yuck!) - my actual boobs were fine.

Re: Be honest girlie's does it hurt?
I have to say that I am one of the minority in that I found it extremely painful. I could hardly move when I came out of surgery, and the next few days hurt when moving around, leaning forward etc.
I have to say that after the first week or 2 my recovery was very quick.
I hope this doesn't worry you - most people have little or no pain, so hopefully that will be you. Good luck with your op, hunni.
