Re: September Buddies
Day 2 (or 3 seeing at it was done at 830am - I don't know?!) post BA and my incisions are burning/itching. Boobs are still v high. Totally ballbagged. The boys have been on umpteen walks to wear them out but it's doing the same to me I think.
How'd you feel louise? Well done!!!
And Kel and bex, now you're a bit further gone than me, how do you feel?
Jen, you're a month past now aren't you? What can we expect around that time?

Re: September Buddies
Nsaw day 1 post op will be the day after your op not the actual day of your BA...
I'm not a month I'm three weeks tomorrow, Michelle had her BA on the 1st but also Katy, pinkprincess and yolanda all had theirs earlier :)
Day three was the worst day for me! I was really emotional and in a lot of pain with my back... Day 6 was the turning point when I started to feel normal again :)
Around day 2/3 you will still have very limited arm movement, still not able to use arms to help you up and will still be feeling the weird sensations, I could sleep through the night? I was itchy until the 2nd week! You will start to feel better in the next few days but I would say nap when you need to, take pain relief if you need to but stay up and as active as you can when your awake :) ice packs help aswell with the aching of the boobs just not near the incisions xx

Re: September Buddies
I think we are all so different. I've had very good use of my arms and virtually no pain. The only thing thats got to me is the tiredness and a little emotional.
On day 2 I picked my daughter up from school, on day 3 I washed and dried my hair, cooked everyone's dinner tidied house etc, and today day 4 I've done washing, hung it up on line emptied tumble drier, tidied up...the list goes on lol ! No stopping when you've got husband and 2 kids!!!
All I mean is I think I've been pretty lucky but you just have to go at your own pace really.
Can't flippin wait til these dressings come off so I can see what's underneath! x

Kel, it's probably a good thing you can't sneak a peek yet. I've just had a sports bra on so when I have snuck a peek, it's pretty scarey stuff. Someone's stuck some barbie baps on me in my sleep! That's reassuring to know we are all going through diff things at diff stages. I feel fine and mobile and not had painkillers yet then it'll hit me and I'll suddenly have to sit down and get that pillow shield between me and the monsters.
Jen, thank you for saying you felt relatively human around day 6. Anything below a week is promising! Have your boobs dropped in 3 weeks? X

Re: September Buddies
Well the swelling has gone down which has meant they arnt as high up and round but they havnt dropped... I know this can take up to 6 months so we have a while to go lol!
One is ever so slightly lower than the other so I imagine this is the start of the dropping ... Obviously they are twoseparate operations and some women said their boobs dropped at quite different rates so I'm going to try not to worry :) xx

Re: September Buddies
Im similar to you Kel, my arms are fine, not quite brave enough to attempt to wash and dry my own hair buff maybe Monday I'll try that. Have been doing the washing etc but just feel totally shattered and although don't quite look 6 months pregnant I feel like my belly is massive..
Nsaw take it easy if you can, I'm not letting on how little pain I'm in because my husband would have me doing everything again - its my turn to rest for once ;)))
don't get me wrong boobs are making some strange noises with the odd shooting pain going through them and a general feel of being uncomfortable. But at the moment its bareable.. xx

Re: September Buddies
Congratulations Louise, all done now Hunni......xx
It's amazing to read how we are all different with the healing...... I'm going back to work under the 2 weeks. The only thing I worry about is blow drying.. As its constant lifting of the arms, I do long days to, I have tried to space bookings but after nearlly 2 weeks off that's going to be hard as will have backlog of clients....... Oh well, see how it goes, just have to get staff to delegate......
Bex, you get hubby looking after you as long as you can babe, make the most of it........ You need to rest......
Hope all you girls just had ops are all taking it easy, resting and enjoying your new additions..........
Are all September buddies done now? Oh no!!!!!!!!
ME NEXT!!!!! WOOP WOOP!!!!! I'm not excited much...
Jen, those 3 weeks have flown by.......bet they have for you too.... So you could be dropping Hun? Bet you see little changes all the time now......
So what is everyone planning for weekend? For me chilling tonight, gym and lunch at my mums tomorrow..........

Re: September Buddies
Hi girls I'm back home now, my phone battery died and I didn't take my tablet with me so only able to update now.
Everything went well! I'm so surprised at how normal I felt once I'd had a few naps and the GA wore off. I was sitting up wanting to get ready and go lol.
Nsaw - I'm thinking like you, I don't want to get carried away thinking I'm fine cos last time I did that after an anaesthetic i was in agony by day 2 and going out of my mind :((( For now I'm feeling good but I'll be keeping the painkillers nearby.
Jen - I had a toasted chicken sandwich with salad, two cups of tea and a pack of biscuits. It didn't even touch the sides I was starving hahaha!!!
Bex - my OH is the same, last thing I'm gonna do is let him know I'm ok, he'll be thinkin its business as usual when actually i need to relax and recover!
Kel - sounds like you're doing great, I have better use of my arms than i expected at the moment. When you've got a family and a house to run you just have to get on with it eh?, I'm gonna get sucked back into the routine sooner than I hoped no doubt :-/
Bizzy - You might be surprised by how you feel afterwards, you sound like you're used to being active so that plus 2 weeks off might well be enough to get you back to normal hun.
I will write my surgery story thing as well.
Ahhh have i missed X-factor? Forgot about that
xx
