Worried about binder Empty Worried about binder

Hi ladies. I'm a bit worried about my binder. I think for the last week or so I might have been wearing it slightly too low and I'm worried its made my boobs a little flat looking. Like squarish. Maybe this is a normal stage of recovery I'm not sure? I've moved it up a little now, got to wear it for another 16 days. Hope I haven't damaged them by wearing it wrong? The first couple of weeks I think I had it on right it's just this week while I've been back at work I think I've subconsciously put it a little lower as I was worried it might poke out of my tops. :(

Square looking boobs are classic early post-op hun, so don't worry, its not anything you've done, its just the way new boobs can look at first.

They'll be more round and full as they continue to heal sweetheart. Xxx

The bottom of the band should be just above your areola, so that it hold the upper pole down. It can make them look pretty square and gross. As long as its firm and tight across your chest, it's all good. 16 days left, easy! Once you've had a couple days out of it they'll round back out :)

Opps thanks for this post ladies, I better starting wearing mine again. I stopped wearing it because I thought It was giving my boobs a funny looking shape. My surgeon said i have to wear it for 6weeks 24hrs. I was also wondering if it's still necessary to wear the binder, because my boobs have dropped and they are squishy & so close together now.
I better go put it on now I guess.

Thanks Charli, yeah that's where I've got it, so I suppose I did have it on ok after all! It defo makes them look a funny shape, but I'm glad that once it's off a couple of days it will sort itself out!

Ladyd14 I also have to wear it for 6 weeks 24 hours, and as I say, 16 days left so more than half way now, best to keep it up, the surgeon told me its to make sure the implant doesn't ride up and cause problems!

Wow. That seems like a long time. My surgeon said I'd be wearing a binder for just one week.
I wonder what he'll say after the actual surgery has been done. Just goes to show how their advice can be so different.
Does the binder look normal under clothes? I hope I'll just be able to wear a support bra for when I go back to work.x

Hi cab! I hated the binder for the first week it felt so uncomfortable with the swelling but I can honestly say now it doesn't really bother me. It is a bit of a pain with regards to clothes, had to pop out and buy a few higher necked tops for work as most of mine seemed to show the top of the binder. Just keep telling myself it's for the best and it's worth it xx
