Re: October Buddies
Hooray, day one of October is almost done! I should get that call in a day or so to confirm what time they want me in on Saturday.
I have to say I am a little nervous about the GA. What happens if it has a weird effect on me or I am allergic to it??? How would anyone know if they were allergic??
I think I just like to worry about something...
Oh well only a few days left to go!
Sending good luck vibes to all the October ladies, so glad to be sharing this journey with you all!x

Re: October Buddies
Hi girls, well we are well and truly into October now...........
Zoelucy, my hubby has come with me to consultations. It put his mind at ease a lot to meet my surgeon and to know all what was happening. He's very pleased that I did all my research and picked who I did.
I personally think it helps to take your partner, they feel involved then........ Also my hubby asked lots of questions about it all and my recovery, what he could do to help etc etc.....
I decided on size a while back and am sticking with it......
CAB, nothing to the G.A babe, you won't be allergic...... You be fine.... We all worry, sometimes the for the sake of it. Think how many G.As are done in a day every day. These people know what they're doing..... You're in very safe hands...... Not long for you Hunni, I would've been same day as you.
Rachij, I get excited moments too. I've got 5 days left. I'm so excited........ Into days and not weeks...........
Tink, I hope they get things sorted for you, November won't be long now......it's fate Hunni, so you get to chat to surgeon about those sizes......x

I'm booked in at Transform in Manchester at 2pm next Thursday. It will take me about 2 hours travelling time. I'm working till Wednesday evening, then gonna take my kiddiwinks to school Thursday morning, nip for a quick chat with my mum, then hit the road. I'm quite nervous because I get really bad travel sickness I haven't packed my bag yet but I have brought my support bra's and new pj's. Think I better get it ready so i'm all prepared.xx:dance:

Re: October Buddies
Thanks Bizzyboobs. I suppose it's normal to worry about the GA.
I'm going to get my stuff all packed up tomorrow. Went and bought some snacks and a stack of magazines to take too. Dressing gown is going for a visit to the washing machine and I think we're all good to go!!
Not really nervous now more excited. Not long now!!x

Donna, you will have to have a pit stop half way Hun, to break up our journey. That's a fair way..... But will be so worth it...... Look what you will be coming back with!!!!!
CAB, well my bag is still packed from last time. So I didn't unpack it.
It's funny you saying that, my dressing gown went for a spin today, all nice and fresh now...... Just nibbles to pack now. Then I'm done and ready to go.....not long for you Hunni, I'm excited for you, I can't wait to hear how it all goes.

Glad it all went well Amyblue. Looking forward to hearing all about it. Are you relieved that after all the build up it's finally over?
Still not nervous, but had a rubbish sleep, largely due to number two monkey AKA Harry being up loads. Why is it, whenever there's something planned they never sleep.
Oh well, working from home today so my tasks include all the washing and cleaning the house. It's like nesting for a baby getting ready for new boobs!!x

Re: October Buddies
OMG tell me about it ! I've got nearly 3 weeks but the lists for my husband have started already (dishwasher on after babies last bottle, boil kettle before bed to make up next days bottles...) And I'm trying to plan all the meals now so I can make sure they eat during the 24hours I'm away.... My husbands idea of doing dinner is to make a pot noodle... yet the kitchen is left in such a state u'd think he'd made a snazzy dinner from scratch...lol.CAB321 wrote:

Suddenly woke last night panicking and wondering if I'm doing the right thing, and just have to remember it's something I really want, and it'll do my husband good to have some time with the kids on his own. With him being in Afghan for the past 6months I've got so used to doing everything all on my own, I think handing over control of the kids/house for the op/hospital stay is worrying me more than the op itself ! xxx

That's great amyblue, glad you're not feeling too bad, looking forward to hearing all about it! cAB I hope it all goes well for you, I bet you're so excited! Hope you get more sleep tonight.
I know what you mean gleaming, I'm a bit worried about handing over control - particularly the washing as I'm very anal about my whites staying white! My hubby can cook but with 2 kids to deal with as well we may be on micro meals for a while! - I know he will be fine with the kids, he's a very hands on dad and a whizz with a Hoover! It's just the other bits I need to be concerned about. Have you got a solid date now?

Re: October Buddies
Haha Gleaming. It does them good to be on their own for a bit. My hubby was away for seven months last year with Afghan and courses. I had pay back last month. I was on a course and away for just over 3 weeks. To be fair on him everything was under control. The kids were clean and had been fed. I'm quite lucky that there's no way hubster would go without a decent meal so I knew he would be ok cooking for them all whilst I was away. However the house was a bit of a pickle when I got back.
The in laws are looking after the kids this weekend so it'll all be fine.
Thanks Lias. I'm getting a bit excited now. Just packed up my stuff. New pjs and slippers. It's amazing how such simple things keep me happy!!x

New pjs and slippers are exciting too, I might go one further and get a new David. What have you packed for the hospital? I've tried looking for normal things to pack then things that people said were invaluable!

Just realised I put David without any explanation... My dressing gowns are called David as I have about 5 and live in them. I'm currently on David mark 13! X

Lias, I've got to ask, why do you call your dressing gown David??? That's hilarious!!
Laura, I know the feeling. When I paid my balance I nearly cried!
Hi Tashab1 and Geb2g08, welcome to October buddies.
I'm now sat on the sofa trying to relax a little bit. I feel like I've forgotten something.
The kids are all packed up for their weekend at Nanny and Grandad's so I think we're good to go!!
The housework and washing is all done so time for a cuppa I think!x

I've always worn 32a bras, at my consultation my surgeon said he would use 300cc under to make me a large C.
After my appointment I got myself properly measured in selfridges, the women said I was more the 30C!! And that I would most probably end up a 30DD. Now I'm not sure! Like you I feel any boob is better than none! Xx
