Re: October Buddies
Hello Fellow October ladies
Im in on the 3rd at the West Midlands with the lovely and ever patient Mr Staiano. I have chosen 325 Conical implants moderates but am having a size wobble today. I would like a time machine where i could pop along to the 4th of October check out what 325 looks like then decide!
Am waiting for my MRSA screen to arrive via post as i didn't want to drive up to the West Mids to have it done, I am a nurse , when i was the lowly student nurse all i did on 1 ward placement was do flipping MRSA swabs. I have done many in my time . Am a little concerned i come back + and that stops my surgery now
Still need to go and buy stuff to take with me in case i stay overnight. My surgeon will let me go home if i am ok to do so but he is starting in the afternoon of the 3rd so it also depends on what time i get out of recovery for my husband to come and collect me .Hopefully get myself organised over the weekend then countdown to D-Day eeeek x

Hiya and welcome to October Buddies!!
You must be having pure implants (furry brazillians) if you're having the conical.. I'm having pure round implants at the spire in Solihull.
I'm sure your swab will be fine and I totally understand about the size wobbles! I'm having 560's which sound enormous and everyone keeps saying how big they are but when I tried them they looked ok. Oooo a time machine would be so very useful!!
Not long for you now

Re: October Buddies
I went to the Spire yesterday for a size consultation as i couldn't make up my mind. It seemed nice and had lots of parking which is always a bonus! I picked West Mids as it has the 5 year full aftercare plus it was the first place he could fit me in. Having waited for a very long time i thought now or never really.
I like lots of things about the Pure implants , less CC and the fact that they stay where the surgeon puts them were on my big plus' list. Fingers crossed i made the right choice. 560's do sound big but when i was going through his library of his work its amazing some of the boobs look really nice natural size and look and have huge implants in them !!!. This is the whole flipping problem with the size dilemma everyone ends up different with the same size arghhhhhhhhhh lol x

Did you see Tiffany by any chance? I didn't realise West Midlands had the 5 years. I'm having an uplift so they are taking me to a aaa after the tissue they will remove. So I'm basically starting from nothing..
Sizing is awful. I wasn't happy until my mum saw a pic of the sizers in and she said they looked good and she would tell me if they were too big. Still scary though as it's never exactly how you will end up. Are you happier now you went for another sizing app? X

Re: October Buddies
I saw Mr Staiano yesterday, he doesn't do consults with anyone else other than him which i liked although he does always run flipping late pah ! I really thought i would have to have an uplift but he said i have a slight degree of sag but not to the point where i cant get a nice result from a BA alone. With the added surgery of an uplift i chose to go BA now and uplift when inevitably they will need to be replaced. I just have nothing in the upper part of my breast which is why it looks so saggy urghhh. Wow you are having big surgery then! Sure it will be fab though, all new perky boobs. Those sizers are funny i started out with the ones that i think were akin to 200cc saying oh yes nice then the bigger i went the more i was going hmm maybe a bit more.... next size bigger please I am a bit of a control freak and like everything organized this is what is doing my head in now. I just want to know i am making the right choice and of course i cant know that till i actually see them done . I'm worrying about stretchmarks now.. on and should i have gone for the higher profile . For goodness sake i shall be glad when my toddler gets home and takes my mind of flipping boobs with general destruction in his wake .

Hi Amyblue. So you're up on the 3rd then. That makes you first up for October then! I'm on the fifth. Starting to get excited about it all now. Still doesn't seem quite real though. Hope you're starting to feel better on the sizing stuff.x

Awwwwww, it must be hard if you got children, and can't pick them up. At least it's just a short while.........
No Hunni, I'm with spire, Worcester. I've been cancelled once, should've been 16th September....... No anaethetist..... But all being well will go through this time. Xx

Hey Laura,
I'm with the Hospital Group and I'm not having any sort of pre-op or swabs taken either. Don't think they do it. Think everything is sorted on the day!
Which surgeon did you choose in the end?
I'm getting excited now, not long...less than two weeks!!
I'm worried about not being able to do stuff with the kids. Mine are 3 and 1. The youngest is a right little Mummy's boy too so he's not going to be impressed!x

I am going with Mr Russo.
My Son is 15 months and a real Mummies boy too. Lord knows why as I had to go back to work full time when he was 5 1/2 months! x

Re: October Buddies
I'm with Mr Russo too, so I'll let you know how it all goes!!
I went back to work after 6 months with my first and then took nearly a year after the youngest. The oldest is much more keen on Daddy now! Although I think because my Hubby is in the military and goes away a lot he's a bit of a novelty to have at home.
It is going to be so weird to not let them climb on me or pick up the little one! Going to have to have very careful cuddles for a little while!x

Re: October Buddies
Less than a week to go for me now. This is a rollercoaster, i veer between excitement and OMG what am i doing! Then the old what size, profile starts and i keep changing my mind then ending up back where i started. Its harder with conicals as there are not as many pictures out there that i can reassure myself with i think. On the plus side have ordered my macom as the small is back in stock and off shopping over the weekend to get bits to take and a new dressing gown as mine is a (comfy) manky rag these days.

Re: October Buddies
Well that's nearly the weekend over, which means the last weekend of being flat-chested is nearly done!! (Sorry I wouldn't usually be so keen to end the weekend!!)
I'm still at that stage where I don't think it's real, or that it's actually going to happen!! I'm nearly all ready to go, got new PJ's and slippers. Looking forward to Wednesday/Thursday when I should find out my admission time!!
I'm not really nervous yet....maybe that's just because I still don't believe it's real. At this rate I don't think I will actually get nervous until I'm on route to the hospital!
I suppose I am a little worried about the GA, as I've never had one before. I've never even taken strong painkillers; not even during childbirth so I am a little apprehensive about the effects of the GA.
I am however massively looking forward to my shopping trip to buy a new boobielicious dress for my Husbands work Christmas Ball!!
Hope everyone is feeling good. It is nearly October so we're nearly there girls!!x

Hey girls
I'm getting nervous now only got nine days at work and 5 days to myself before my day. With work I should've been working the saturday before my BA but had to use my holiday as otherwise I would've lost it. Well it'll be useful to clean the house, get last minute bits and bobs ready for the monday .
Good luck to everyone who is before me and after me.

Re: October Buddies
I had my husband making rice boobs for me last night. He got rather into it ( is a perfectionist pain in the ass sometimes) and it was literally correct to the last grain of rice. Then i put my new boobs into the hideous uncomfortable macom and said... OMG i dont like them i cant see my feet! Which i seriously hope is not a sign i am not going to like the real things. I am at the point where i don't even know what i want anymore, one minute i want smaller, then bigger , then i want to change the profile. Am sticking with my original choice, i could go round in circles forever with this arghhhh! So 4 more sleeps for me, i feel blughhh today hope i am not coming down with a cold. Last thing i flipping need I just want this over with now. Its driving me round the twist

Re: October Buddies
Hi girls
I've only just read all this I've been addicted to breaking bad and haven't been on!
Amyblue, yeah I've got to have an uplift as the surgeon pulled all my skin and said I would have to go as big as Jordan to fill the skin!!
I had one rice boob in the other day and was making another and my neighbour rang the bell and I totally forgot that I only had one in as my dog was barking and my baby was asleep so I rushed to the door - how embarrassing. I just didn't say anything but I'm sure she noticed!
To all you with kids, I've got a 3 year old and an 8 month old and I feel so bad I won't be able to pick my little girl up. I'm having my op on a Wednesday as I work for my hubby 2 days a week and I'm going back tomorrow after maternity leave - my little boy was 18 months when I went back as I was going a bit mental staying at home and my baby is so much younger so I feel bad enough about going back to work. Anyway the kids will be at nursery on the day of the op then my mum is having them the Thursday and Friday then on the Monday we go to centre parcs- I may spend the holiday in bed but at least the kids will have a good time. Then my auntie is coming to have the kids the week after so I have 2 and a half weeks to recover. My hubby is an amazing Dad so I have no worries about him looking after them. I just feel bad I won't be able to look after my kids properly for a few weeks.
Yay my ticker is now in days!!
Good luck everyone!!! Xxx

Hi girls, I am pleased to finally announce that I am joining the October buddies officially (kind of...) I am booked in to have my BA at Fawkham Manor in Kent with Roger Smith on Thursday 24th, but his secretary is enquiring into any available slots at the McIndoe Surgical Centre Wednesday 23rd (as it's £341 cheaper). Either way I am happy to be counting down the weeks till booby day; be it the Wednesday or Thursday :D xxx

Omg cannot believe it is October and all this waiting about and day dreaming in nearly finished.. My pre-op is next Monday and I've booked in to see my surgeon on Monday just so that I can put my mind at ease on sizes.. I'm sure I have but just seems like so long ago I made the decision and can't really remember what they were like!! I was speaking to my friend and she said be took her bf to her consultations, has anyone else done this? My bf is still a bit unsure (but ok) about everything always giving the whole "your perfect the way you are bla bla" so thought it might be good for him to come along but might be a but weird xxx
