sugery in 7days...a very long post!!!!
So it's been a million years since I've been on here, FOREVER ago to be exact ;) but here I am with 7 SLEEPS to go until my surgery date!!!! Aarrrggghhhh!! I finally got the ok last year for the funding from the PCT...which co incidentally was just one week after I found out that, finally, after a year of trying, me and my wonderful OH were expecting a beautiful bundle of joy! So it all got put on hold, and now my littlest princess is a healthy happy almost 7month old!
It's been the longest of journeys, and I doubt anyone remembers me, but I was stuck in a horrendous relationship and had to focus on getting myself away from him and his disgusting behaviour for the sake of my oldest girl and i, so even though I had seen my gp, had a special scan and had a psychological evaluation, I had to out it all on hold. All that seems a million miles away from where I'm at now, incredibly happy and loved, two beautiful and happy children, living a comfortable life with a man I adore and who loves every part of me and would never ever want me to change, safe and free, and in just one week I will be going through the very last change, finally letting go of the last thing that's holding me back and cementing the new me!!!
(Right now I'm a 32aa....surgeon has chosen 300cc implant due to having a small rib cage, which will initially be filled just to 250cc, or as much as he feels comfortable with, and then I will go back fortnightly to get them filled through a small tube under my armpit, not advisable though the skin and accessed like a vein with a needle, and also there is room for 'overfilling' which could go to around 425-450cc....so basically when I'm happy we can stop)
So excited and thankful for this amazing opportunity, and I truly believe that I deserve this and all the happiness it will bring me, not everyone agrees with the nhs funding things like this, and the people who have clearly abused this by going to the media and selling their stories haven't helped the dim view on this, but I have a congenital condition where the breast tissue is completely absent, my body has not developed the way it should, and in my opinion if it was any other part of the body, arm, hand, foot etc then people would fully expect the nhs to fund and provide operations and/or prosthetic limbs, medication, physiotherapy. By the same token I feel like I no longer have to justify myself, the funding is there, I have been accepted on MEDICAL grounds, and I feel I no longer need to feel ashamed of my body, of something that I will never be able to change.
So in a nutshell......in 7days, for the first time in my 25years I will finally have a pair of boobs!!! Incredible!!! :) xxxx

Hello :)
I've only been here for under a year really but looking back through old threads through research I recognise your avi and username :)
Just want to say a huge congrats for finally getting a date for your op! It sounds like its been a very long journey... It's good to hear after what sounds like a horrible situation you are now blissfully happy and all is going ahead!!
I think all of the ladies here including me totally agree with NHS funding for these type of ops because we understand how it feels to totally hate your boobs and the way they make us feel, the few silly girls who go to the paper make a bad name for not only NHS funding but boob jobs I'm general and you can never judge a organisation based on one silly girl!! You deserve this, you've waited long enough!!
I'm booked in on the 8th of sept for my Ba and can't wait! If you want you can come over to the September buddies in the general section as there are a few of us all having a Ba in sept :)
And I'm sure you already know but pop your date in the Calendar :)
Great to hear a lovely story and hope this Ba is the icing on the cake for you xx

Firstly, I want to say congratulations on your baby!!
Secondly, I do believe that some ladies should have nhs funding! And you are a perfect case. I too tried the nhs route, had a gp and a phsyciatrist saying I needed surgery and the pct saying they couldn't fund it! So I know what you must have gone through in order to get the funding!
I do hope your surgery goes well! And I really do hope it give you the confidence you sound like you very much deserve!! It's an amazing feeling to finally feel like a woman!
Good luck xx

Re: sugery in 7days...a very long post!!!!
Thanks girlies!! Yeah it been a long road but I'm a better person for it, now realised what a strong woman I am, and that I am worthy of love, nice things, respect and happiness...it is the most amazing feeling in the world to feel free, to not be under someone else's scrutiny 24/7 to not have to answer to everything you say, do or think, it was a crazy place to be in, but here I am, better, stronger, and so much happier. And now I'm having the body I've always wanted, a chance to finally feel like a woman, and to Finnish off my complete confidence overhaul, I'm surrounded by people who truly love and care for me, who given the choice wOULDN'T change me, but this is for me and me alone :) xx

I too def all for NHS funded boobies if the reason is right!! I myself would not have went down the NHS route as there was nothing physically wrong with my breast except them being to small lol so and I think that even though I had issues with my body that there are other woment out there more deserving of NHS funded boobies. For yourself im so glad that you managed to get the goahed from them after a very long 4 years

Re: sugery in 7days...a very long post!!!!
I will!! This is truly a "lived happily ever after" fairytale ending, I can't actually believe bow much my life has changed, and how far I have come as a person, and I really do cherish my freedom now, it feels so right and so peaceful, gone are the days where my stomach turned with dread every time I walked to my front door, watching My every single word, carefully cleaning the house to his high standards (that could never be met no matter how hard I tried or how much I cleaned and scrubbed and organised every inch of the flat....resulting in him pouring the rubbish bin all over the floor and watching as I picked it up...) so happy!!

Re: sugery in 7days...a very long post!!!!
Thank you!!!
And just to add to anyone, members and just browsers to the forum, it's not a case of go to the doctors and complain about how much you hate your boobs and booom "free boob job"...it actually could not be further from that, medically I have a congenital condition where my body did not develop I have literally no breast tissue.....reductions are done in extremely severe cases, and there has to be a minimum of 2 full cup size difference to treat asymmetric breasts....this is not a quick decision, it all has to be proven, through measurements, consultations, and scans, (which all takes alot of time) if you meet the criteria (which is very strict, and much tighter than you would expect) then the PCT still have to ok the funding....I just feel that sometimes people expect me to justify it, or say "oh I would just pay"
..would that person "just pay" if they were born with an underdeveloped ear, or hand, or leg, or eye, no they would take all the help that the nhs offered them, in whatever form that came in.
An A cup pair of breasts may be small, but essentially it is still a pair of breasts, they make a bra for that, people come in all shapes and sizes....being this size does not mean the nhs should pay for surgery. To give you a better understanding underbust I measure 31inch and over I measure 31 1/2inches....so that's not even a bra size....
I just wanted to clear all of that up for anyone who might read this :)

Pinkprincess congratulations on getting your date. No one judges on here thats what I love about the site.
Im also going down nhs route and know it takes months between appointments. I live in Scotland and we don't have a pcc but atm ive seen a consultant and had photo's taken on the same day...2 men on one day seeing my boobs (theres a 1st). Im due back in just under 2 months to see him again although was told he would speak to a specialist breast surgeon.
Good luck on your big day babe and enjoy every minute of it all xx

Re: sugery in 7days...a very long post!!!!
I didn't necessarily mean I had to explain myself, just felt like I wanted to make absolutely clear to people considering nhs route or feeling like they could have saved themselves money and gone to their gp, that it's not as easy as you may think. Despite what the silly girls that went to the media say, they got accepted on medical grounds not grounds of "depression" they told the papers what they wanted to hear in return for cash and 15 minutes of fame
I'm really happy, and the support on here is fantastic, I used this place a lot early on in my journey, and here I am, back when my surgery in within touching distance and it feels fantastic :) I know I won't be judged here, and I know how supportive you girls are as a group. Looking forward to my surgery now :) :) :)

That's good. As you've been here for a while now, albeit with a break inbetween you DO know us well enough to know that no matter what woman comes here looking support through their BA journey, we would NEVER and have never judged them, but would ALWAYS help them.
Nobody here need ever explain themselves babe. If they want support - they've got it in abundance!

I agree, definitely no need to justify yourself. It sounds like you've been through quite an ordeal. Yes there are people who deliberately play the system, but likewise there are people that have a genuine need.
Congratulations on it all and I really hope everything goes well for you and fingers crossed that nasty ear pain clears up.
Can't wait to hear about your day.x
