High gate hospital
Hi,
Due in High gate hospital on 1st sept . If anyone has been there was wondering if there was any more parking than on street, like a proper car park near by??? Husband is rather protective of his car and doesn't like on street parking and it says there isn't much parking anyway???
Thanks

Re: High gate hospital
Hi hunni.
The hospital has a small Carpark out front but can only get about 6 cars in so you have to get there early to get one. It's a pain as all the streets are restricted parking close to it. I'm not sure about another Carpark, I have been there 3 times and never found another. Maybe ring highgate and ask them hunni xx

Thanks for the info!!! Yes will phone the hospital and ask. Thinking of catching tube to highgate (as going up to premier inn J4 heathrow after work on the sat) and then hubby picking me up by car the next day. Annoying they dont have more parking, you pay enough!!

Re: High gate hospital
Yeah I know, it's very frustrating, especially if you get there to find no where to park and you have to be in for your op. luckily my last ops admission time was 7.30am but I got there at 6.45am so got a space and the hospital let me check in early.
The parking is the hospitals only downfall, the place is great, clean and lovely and the staff are lovely, I was looked after by the most amazing nurse, she made me feel so comfortable and looked after me so well. Hopefully you have her, i was told her name was Irmina Dyer. She's a star.
The other thing is they have some upgrades going on in the hospital at the moment so builders about but it only really effects the bottom floor and we don't stay on that floor, if you do get put down there it will only be for a little while when they will be sorting you proper room out.
If you go in by tube it's very easy, hospital about a five minute walk away from tube station. :)
Hope you enjoy your day hunni, and your new boobies xx

Re: High gate hospital
Hi I think dafneylou has answered all your questions already, but just wanted to agree with what she's said. It's a tiny car park out the front, more like a large driveway really, definitely 10 cars or less I'd say, so it depends how early you'd be checking in if you'd be lucky enough to get one of those spaces.
I took the tube there myself, and then because I've got a terrible sense of direction I got a taxi from opposite the station to the hospital. Didn't want to get lost and be late.
Highgate is lovely though! I'd be happy to go back there if I ever need to, they treated me really well and the room and food were lovely. Good luck with your op! xx
