Arnica
Hi Ladies,
I'm wondering if anyone can help me? I'm away on a course with work throughout September so I'm trying to get my life organised this month in preparation for my op on 5th October.
I spoke to my surgeon about Arnica and he advised to take it two weeks before and two weeks after the operation.
I went into Holland and Barratt to buy some and the box recommends taking them every couple of hours for the first day and then for a maximum time of 5 days!
How long did you ladies take it for and how many of the little pills did you take each day? Did it help at all?
Thanks
Christina x

Re: Arnica
Ok, thank for that. It's all so confusing! I might email my Patient Coordinator and see what THG suggests in general for dosage!x

Re: Arnica
I took them 5 days before, and am taking now am only 4 days post op. Despite really suffering pain wise these last few days I haven't actually got any bruising yet...guess could still get early for it to come out (certainly feel bruised!) So not sure if it has helped, but you never know

Re: Arnica
Ladies what strength arnica do I need. Our chemist had 6c and 30c and the girl was so unhelpful but the actual pharmacist was on lunch so I've to pop back later. Any suggestions? X

Re: Arnica
Sassy the instructions are quite complicated, it's ' 2 pillutes every two hours for the first 6 doses then take the dose four times daily'
So I think it's 12 day 1 then 8 the rest of the days, sounds a lot but there so tiny xx

Re: Arnica
Thanks for all this info ladies. I've just realised I've bought Arnica 6 instead of 30.
Are there any side effects for overdosing? Only my surgeon has said two weeks before and two weeks after and that seems like rather a lot, especially given the number of them you have to take in a day!!
This is all so confusing!x

Re: Arnica
I doubt it because its herbal so I don't think you can overdose, some ladies are told to take it for two weeks before and after so if that's what your surgeon has recommended then theres no reason why you cant xx
