Pregnant!
Hey!
After some advice. So just found out I am pregnant (now 8 weeks) I know it's early days but concerned about my boobs and what will happen to them? I only had them done in march and this pregnancy wasn't planned. Me and my boyfriend planned to next year. Very excited though.
Will be boobs be okay? They are still technically healing and currently very tender from pregnancy. Xx

Re: Pregnant!
Congrats on the pregnancy hun x most surgeons don't recommend pregnancy until you are at least 12 months post op. I'm not sure how much the pregnancy will affect the boobs at only 5 months post op hun xx

Re: Pregnant!
Congratulations Njwarren and its nice to see you back here
How your boobs are going to fair through pregnancy is something you're not going to know until you've been there and done it.
Your skins own elasticity and how well you look after your boobs throughout pregnancy will both be factors in how they'll get on afterwards.
So do ensure they're fully supported throughout your pregnancy as well well moisturised to keep the skin nice and supple as it stretches when your milk comes in.
If you do that hopefully they'll be OK, but its never guaranteed babe.
One of our members who also got pregnancy early in her recovery wrote a great diary [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] if you like to read it. Xx

Re: Pregnant!
Thanks girls. Really excited and full of nerves as still early days. Nipples are sore but they were to touch before I found out just a bit worse now.
Will mention it to my midwife too and hopefully will be okay to breast feed still. Is that safe?
Thanks cookie. I will have a read through her story. I've been using bio oil on my belly and blobs to try and help but thinking I will get some coco butter instead.
Scary but exciting times. I hope I've not spent all this money on my bobs and they go horrible after! Xx

Re: Pregnant!
Ooh congratulations. Little munchkins are great fun! Can't help on the boob front. I'm having mine sorted largely as a result of pregnancy and breast feeding.
Make sure you get some good cream. Palmers coco butter is great. I've got hardly any stretch marks, used that stuff through both pregnancies!
Good luck, fun times ahead for you guys!x

Re: Pregnant!
I am a midwife and can tell you its safe to breastfeed with implants but as you are early post op you may find that your nipples are over sensitive and this will make breastfeeding a nasty experience for you or they may have lost sensitivity which can impair the let down reflex and therefore your milk may not come in or be released properley. The only way to know if it will work for you is to try, breastfeeding isnt easy for anyone and its never guaranteed to work 100% and be right for any woman until she tries it so I say if you are up for it give it a go and see how it is!

Re: Pregnant!
Congratulations to you both! You crafty thing yer ;) as 5sd has said you're still okay to breastfeed with implants, there is always a slight risk with the surgery that your milk ducts have been damaged but this is the exception rather than the rule and is mostly with areola incision. Just enjoy your pregnancy and give it a go =] and stop worrying about your boobs! You will find out soon enough and if anything does happen they can always be fixed in time x x x x
Re: Pregnant!
Thanks girls!
Keeping everything crossed everything is okay with the little one. Really nervous something will go wrong but always been a worrier.
Feel fine other than boobs being very tender... Just like when I first had them done. Had bit of sickness but gone now.
Exciting and life changing things to come ay! Xx
