Re: Mybreast, I have to appeal for revision surgery!!!
ive just been back to c my ps who works for mybreast and was told I had cc in my left breast and that they wud contact mybreast and they wud get back to me asap! Well that was a week ago so I put in for a call back at my breast and within 5 mins they called me but as soon as I mentioned my cc and needing revision surgery her voice changed and she seemed to fobb me of with tracey is busy at the moment I will email ur details and she will get back to u!!!
I hate having to chase people!! My surgeon himself is fab and I cant fault a single thing just wish he worked for himself and didnt work for mybreast!!! I hope u get it sorted soon hunni, its very frustrating how they r quick eenough to take ur money and get u in the door then drop as soon as u have problems :( take care sweetie xxx

hi natty i went to see james today, he is fab :) however i know a few girls on here had problems with surgery via mybreast (some with james) and i must stress it is mybreast that have been the problem here not the surgeon as in james' cases he has been supportive of their cases for revision. i am considering booking with james after i weigh up my options but i may contact his clinic directly to see what cost he can offer me rather than going through mybreast x

yeah james is fab and I wud highly recommend him too.mybreast however r crap.i was told that they wud email me today(I mean it tskes seconds to email doesnt it!) and send sum form off that need to be signed and sent back but no holding out any hope that I will c the letters this week.i wish that I cud just go and see james and deal with james after all he is my surgeon.first time round I booked my ba and within 3weeks I was done.i rang my breast today and tracy said they meet once a fortnite to review the revision cases and cud take up to 8 weeks!! Its so frustrating because im dredding the second surgery as it is and not knowing how long I have to wait is awful :(

Re: Mybreast, I have to appeal for revision surgery!!!
Apologies ladies for coming back to this thread..
bt this further supports my claim abt My Breast in my thread..
Should i have any issues - I will have to deal with my breast - which seems to be very ugly here ..
Also - i know a lot of ladies here have posted up different complications etc .. but very few come back to update on how they got along..
Can we all try and do this please? it would make a huge impact on a newbies decision or also anyone having any current issues
THANKS LADIES

Re: Mybreast, I have to appeal for revision surgery!!!
May just add to this that ALL ladies had their complications resolved through MyBreast.
The ADMIN at MyBreast do need to shape up, but the surgeons cannot be questioned at all.
In general MyBreast are an excellent option for surgery. In the four years I've been here there are of the lowest to have complications of any sort. Xx

Re: Mybreast, I have to appeal for revision surgery!!!
Hi Cookie - thanks for the prompt response.
Hmmm - am somewhat different on that .. whilst they have the lowest complication rate - i believe that they should strive to keep that and not put this women thru hassles to even get consultations ..
Yes - revision 'costs' d company money - but i am sure they have insurance for that and also have made a good profit!
The PCC are horrible .. so it negates a fantastic Surgeon ..
I would rather go to the surgeon direct (and yes that also has complications) but definitely not a PCC attached!
MYbreast - is a classic example of a company who are using the best surgeons (BAAPS) reg and then using PCC to create obstacles - which was my fear when i saw the cruella deville (PCC at my consultation) ..
Apologies for my rant - but i just feel that she has made my journey unfortunately a bit longer and more researched!
sory about the rant

Re: Mybreast, I have to appeal for revision surgery!!!
Nooooo, you rant away babe and YOUR experience and YOUR decisions are much appreciated here I think its cry important to have a balanced opinion with nothing sugar coated - everything should be as it is to ensure you get EXACTLY what YOU want and from what you want babe, I will say you're only ever going to get that from Spire, or a surgeons own private clinic. Xxx
I've just come off the phone with MyBreast and they have assured me 100% they do-not have PCCs
I will recite the information I received:
MyBreast do-not and will not have PCCs. When you book with MyBreast you see the surgeon direct - no sales pitch from a PCC, no surgery options covered by a PCC. You will have an appointment direct with a BAAPS/BAPRAS surgeon who are of the highest qualified and they will spend around 45 minutes with you to go through all of your procedure.
They have their own PA, who will take you appointments and deal with any 'clinic-Patient' liaison, but if you want direct access to the surgeon the surgeon themselves would be happy to provide you with that.
This is the information I have just been told.

I trust in what you said Lil. I'm just relaying the information I received from the regional office. Xx
Re: Mybreast, I have to appeal for revision surgery!!!
i know you do hun .. just even gets me further irritated by my breast!!!
cos like you rightly have shown - they have good surgeons on board .. but the admin / after care / etc ...
is beyond disgusting!!
Oh yes i agree with you Cookie - what i want - is a good balance - and yes things can go wrong with the best surgeon in the world..
what i dont want is to b treated like a piece of s*t when it does or fobbed off or have to fight ..
afterall - there was none of that when i was paying for the surgery anyways ...
oh ladies!!! we will get there eventually

Re: Mybreast, I have to appeal for revision surgery!!!
LOL... You will Lil. I personally think Spire is the one for you hun, so the sooner you sort a surgeon out t see, I think the sooner you'll be on the road to Boobsville haha.
I do think you'll be very impressed with spire hun. Xx

Now i want Mr Mcgod or Mrs Kat ..
now going there for surgery isnt too bad - but i couldnt afford to travel there for every nurse consultation .. which is where i am stuck ..
wondering if there are any recommended spires PS in london .. likes of Mr Mcgod or Mrs Kat

Re: Mybreast, I have to appeal for revision surgery!!!
Hi I have dicussed with my surgeon and GP and instead of me travelling to see surgeon to check my wound I am popping to my local GP to get checked over and my surgeon wants pictures emailed to him :blush:hahahaha saves me travelling again unless I really need to, not sure if this is something that any other surgeon offers or not but might be worth asking
Same as my bloods and MRSA swabs i got them done here and sent my surgeon the results
Hope u get the surgeon you want xxx

Re: Mybreast, I have to appeal for revision surgery!!!
oh silly me - i meant spire or Mr hassan
nageo impleo or brazzilian furries ..
yes that my route nw ..
i dont know if its worth me cancelling my MYA appt .. jst cos i am sure i wont be going with them ..
Newbies - the only reason i am not going with MYA is simply due to BAAPS reg PS - they dont use BAAPS reg surgeons ..
but it may seem like a trip to birmingham on the cards ..

Re: Mybreast, I have to appeal for revision surgery!!!
Hello ladies, sorry I have not updated sooner. I have had my appeal for revision refused because they see it as recurrent cc, even though Mr Mallucci only replaced one implant and sliced into the others capsule. In the letter from the Medical Committee they advised that both implants were replaced for cc in Dec 2011, therefore recurrent cc. I have emailed Tracey advising only one implant was replaced even though 2 were ordered. We are now waiting to hear from Mr Mallucci.
I am very disappointed at the lack of support from the surgeon, his name is listed on the Medical Committee letter! I expected better of BAAPs surgeon, this was the reason I choose Mybreast.
I have had my results back from the ultrasound confirming my lump is another siliconoma and both implants are fine.
Will update again when I hear from Tracey.

Re: Mybreast, I have to appeal for revision surgery!!!
Awww babe, that's awful.
This is another thing we aren't told about surgery is that they will only pay for one CC. I hope you get the implant you need lovely and shame on Mr Malluci for not supporting you.
Is the silicona leakage from the PIPS still babe?
If it is... Be sure you're getting this all documented - there's a woman currently in Ireland taking a HMG to court over her PIPS. She couldn't get them one way so she's trying for another now - the story is in the PIP section hun. So if she wins, this could open the flood gates for other women to sue the clinics also.
So be sure that's well documented sweetheart.
And my apologies babe. I sincerely thought your problem had been resolved. Xx

Re: Mybreast, I have to appeal for revision surgery!!!
Hello Cookie, yes the silicone is from the previous PIPs, unfortunately I didn't use a clinic I went through Mr Khan privately and paid by bankers draft on his request, so no come back on a credit card.
I have kept all my emails etc that I have sent to Mybreast just in case I need to take it further.
Will update as soon as I hear from Mybreast.
Enjoy the rest of the weekend,
Mimi

Re: Mybreast, I have to appeal for revision surgery!!!
Hello ladies, just thought I would update you all. Still awaiting my notes from Mr Mallucci's office, apparently some of my notes were archived! I have now been waiting for 7 weeks for these. Not sure if it's Mybreast delaying or Mr Mallucci's office. Will update again when I have more news.
Regards,
Mimi.

Awwww Mimi, I'm sorry you're still waiting. CC can get quote painful so I do hope you're not in to much discomfort hun. Xxxx
Re: Mybreast, I have to appeal for revision surgery!!!
Hi Cookie, not too much discomfort thanks. It's the hardness of it I struggle with (can't sleep on my front anymore) and trying not to hug people on that side just incase they notice.
