Blood test before??
Hi ladies,
So I had a phone call today asking me to come in tonight to have my bloods taken after they have had a look through my notes.
My op is in 3 days :/ nerves kicking in now but mainly over why they want blood this late??
Is it normal to be called in and is there anything on a blood test that could stop me having my BA?
I might just be being silly but worrying now xxx

Re: Blood test before??
Did you write any health conditions on your pre-op form hun?
Bloods are 'normally' taken at your pre-op through Transform, maybe the surgeon saw something in your notes that he thought should be checked before taking you in to surgery?
Its not something I'd personally worry about unless you had good reason to babe and at the moment its just a blood test
Just ask when you go tonight what the reason is. They'll tell you then sweetness. Xx

I wouldn't worry too much hun, maybe they have just realised that they forgot to take bloods at your pre op x ask them when you go in, why you had to have them? X

Re: Blood test before??
Sorry to sort of crash your thread kitty, but is it normal that all girls going with transform need to have their bloods taken? I thought it was if you had something in your notes that may prompt them to take it but it wasnt routine?
I also wouldnt worry kitty... they might have just forgot or something but defo ask...im intrested too lol... good luck xx

If you're fine and over the episode now babe I really wouldn't worry about it. Xx
Re: Blood test before??
They do have to make sure you are fit and well enough for surgery. I'm sure if you feel fine now hun, they may find you fit and well for surgey.
Re: Blood test before??
My pre op was a week ago and they only asked me to come in today I think the lack of sleep and the fact that they left it till a couple of days before is stressing me out a little xxx

Re: Blood test before??
They said it was from my gp notes they just had to check because I had two kidney stones nearly two years ago.
Touch wood... Iv not had a phone call I did ring today coz I'm panicking of anything shows up that they will cancel and I couldn't cope if they did. But when I told them this they said don't worry. We cancelled our holiday so I could get it done this weekend. But like I said touch wood it will all be ok fingers crossed!! I feel sick and exhausted because of all the ups and downs that come with it all. Just want it to be done now xxx

Re: Blood test before??
Aww at least it's only because they want to be safe... The kidney stones were two years ago like you said so I guess it will be ok.
It's such a exciting time but also nerve wracking... Can take a toll on you so just try to keep busy and it will all be ok! If something comes up then you can spend your energy on it but for now although its easy for me to say, try to relax... Your have your new boobs before you know it :) xx
