You should probably check with your insurance company. I drove after about 10 days but some girls drive sooner than that. For me I wanted to leave it as long as possible and didn't need to drive earlier than that.

It usually about 7-10 days. But whenever you are able to comfortably able to do an emergency stop! And as redtulip has said check with your insurance company, as some have different rules regarding driving after an op. I drove at day 9, found 5th and reverse gear a nightmare for a few weeks lol x

I was told 2 weeks by my surgeon and I'm still finding revering and driving a longer distance uncomfortable. X

I'm a bit worried about this.... A few girls I've seen have said the struggled with the gear stick etc, I'm hoping my boyf will be the driver for a while :) xx

Re: when can you drive after having BA?
I drove exactly 1 week after my op, reverse and 5th gear was a little tricky at first but its only because for a week you avoid using your arms too much!! But take it easy and see how you feel, you may be fine or you may want a few extra days.

I drove exactly on day 7 and no problems at all, but I had overs so it's less uncomfortable than for ladies who had unders x
