Lol Emilysarahdodds, not counting at all!! I can't wait til it's time to pack my bag! Even though I have everything for it I'm going to wait until closer the time!
Max - well done for making a start on packing haha.
Specialkj - What are your plans for losing a few lbs? I am currently following a "fast froward" version of slimming world to give me a bit of a boost after a really terrible food weekend!!

Re: July Buddies.
Hi girls, I'm booked in at riverside on the 10th!
You're all so organised, I have to do lists and always manage to leave them until the last minute.
I have most things though, the most comfortable button up night shirt ever for hospital, a lovely zip up baggy affair to lounge about the house in, v pillow, arnica, pain relief. I need bio oil and cool packs now.
Having issues with support bras though - both pcc and nurse advised me to get post surgery support bras but my surgeon just said "the tighter the better" which sways me towards a sports bra as the surgery ones just don't seem to have the tightness!?
I'm really excited but sooo nervous, mostly cos I'm a rubbish patient!

Re: July Buddies.
Hi Girls, sorry I've had a manic week but Birthday Parties and christenings out of the way now I can really focus on the new additions.. All of you with your lists is making me nervous, so my thing to do tomorrow at work is to write my lists... I am heading into town later in the week to buy some button up tops and some button up PJ's, I have ordered a new V shaped pillow, and another sports bra and I think thats it.. The rest I have around the house..
I can't believe its a week on Friday for me... I still have mixed emotions for excitement is far taking over nerves at the minute..

Re: July Buddies.
I keep saying the 10th But reality hit me today when my boss stated its NEXT WEEK! Eek :D
I'm with transform and my surgeon is Mr Chantarasak - I really liked him, very professional, polite and to the point - no hanging around, yet not rushed x
@Blondiebex - asda have some really cute (but plain) zip up onsies in... Really not my thing and I have never felt the need to own one but they just look ideal for the job! So I am now the proud owner of one...! x

I know some ppl don't agree with it but I am going to do the fast diet, 5 days healthy eating and 2 days 500 calories, it really works for me! Indeed restriction and on the no. Fast days I am so good as don't want to ruin my efforts! I appreciate this not for everyone!!!!
Never tried slimming world, I quite like myfitnesspal app on phone as well. We got a few weeks, I'm just annoyed as had nearly got to my goal weight and have ruined it lately. :-(

Re: July Buddies.
Hello ladies
And welcome to all of the new July buddies There's loads of us in here now!
Whoop whoop for July
Congrats on becoming an Addict Pr1ncessmummy lol
Hope everyone enjoyed the nice weather this weekend.
I have my pre-op and another sizing appointment tomorrow but I think I'm more nervous that my mum is coming too tbh lol It will be good to have someone there to remember stuff and ask anything that I may forget, but on the other hand I don't really want to bare all to my mum (silly really as she has gone through both of my childrens births with me)!
How is everyone feeling? Excited, nervous etc? My Macom arrived today, seems it's bra delivery day for us July buddies I tried it on and I can't say it's the sexiest looking bra lol but I can imagine it will be comfy afterwards.
Seems that there's quite a few of us going in next week?
Does anyone have a thread in the diary section? I thought about it today as it would be something to look back on and also maybe useful to others pre-ba?

Hi Cheekychickan! Not long for you now! How exciting!!
Specialkj - I gave that plan a go but found myself falling off the wagon far too quickly! I was almost at my goal weight too until the last week or so when I went a bit mad on the stodge! BUT I am back on this this week and we have plenty of time to get off those last few lbs!! We can encourage each other!!
Thanks BetterThanToast! Good luck for your consultation today! Let us know how you get on! I have a boobie diary and have found it very therapeutic! In-fact, I need to go and update it today as had an awful night last night .

Max1980 - Good luck with your appointment today.. x
So my list writing has started.. So far I have one for the things I need to buy, one for the stuff I need to take with me, one for the things I need to have around me when I'm home and the most important one is for my Husband of the timings for the mornings before school as he is RUBBISH with getting out of bed! I think that is what is causing me the most worry to be honest.. Even my eldest son who is 5, said to me yesterday can you please make you sure you write down the times for Daddy, I asked him why and he said because Daddy is always late... I am NEVER late for school pick up or drop off and I think the thought of he being left at school till last is worrying me more than surgery - how silly...
So question - how many bras have you all got for after? I believe with GG I have to stay in the surgical bra for a week and then after my check I can have it removed and wear a sports bra.. Which bra will you all be going into after your check?

Re: July Buddies.
Hi Bex,
Good idea writing down all the times etc for your hubby! I am quite glad that my surgery is in the summer hols as this would have been one of my worries too!
I have got 3 different sized bras and they are all Shock Absorbers. I have been wearing one for support at the moment (with my PIP discomfort) and they are very supportive and comfortable so would highly recommend!

Pr1ncessmummy - it really is my biggest worry.. Xx
Which shock absorbers have you got? I've been told to get a 32C is it worth getting one that's bigger too just incase? Bigger in cup and rib so say a 34 d or something? I just have one zip up shock absorber (from eBay) that was a 32c..

Re: July Buddies.
I got these ones hun:
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
I ordered a bigger back size and also bought some bra extenders from ebay which should hopefully help if I am excessively swollen and find that my 38D is too tight (I am currently wearing a 36D which I can fasten on the tightest so think I should have maybe got a 34 back size!).

Re: July Buddies.
Excellent thanks honey, will take a look at lunch time and maybe order the 32c and 34c and see which feels better.. There's so many different ones out there it's hard to know which is best. I know cookie swears by the triumph tri-action so might order loads and try them. I've never bothered with a sports bra before and I'm a gym bunny and do lots of running. So when I can exercise again afterwards I'll probably wear 2 or 3 if I can fit them on to keep them protected xx

Lol layer yourself up with them?? Good idea!
Also a good idea to try a few different ones to see which ones you like! I got my shock absorbers as they were recommended to me and then found them on sale on Very!

See the whole sports bra thing is confusing me, so i've just got a couple of Macoms cause only need back size so got a 32 and 34. Will the nurse tell me at my 10 day check up what sports bra size i will need then?? Xx

Re: July Buddies.
I don't really know emilysarahdodds, my surgeon just told me to get the same size that I am now as he wants it to be VERY tight (remember I already have implants though!). They can normally give you a rough idea beforehand so should be able to advise at 10 days post-op

Re: July Buddies.
Well I've been advised to get a 34DD but I have a feeling that it really won't fit as I'm already a 32D and having 365s. Which is why I'm playing it safe and going for the Macoms for first 10 days. Like you say if they can give a rough idea before maybe the nurse will be able to tell me after :) xx
