Hair loss following BA
Hi girls,
I read somewhere recently that some girls are losing loads of hair following major operations like, BA or rhinoplasty. Well, I'm having both ops in December and now I'm worried because it took me ages to grow my hair (as they are so fine).
Is that true? xx

Re: Hair loss following BA
I trained as a hairdresser and I've never heard this... Not sure if its true or not, i don't think its likely to be true. The only reason i can think of is stress about the operation could lead to some hair loss. I'd be interested to know more about it though, I'm pre ba and i would hate to lose hair!xx

Re: Hair loss following BA
Can't say I've ever heard of anyone losing hair after having a BA?
Other reasons yes... Like Kelly said, stress, or excess weight loss or hormone imbalances can cause hair loss but not a BA lovely. You'll be fine xx

There's loads of info about it, just type in search engine: hair loss and breast augmentation.

Re: Hair loss following BA
I've had a GA twice and never suffered any side affects after. I would try not to stress over it hun.
Re: Hair loss following BA
Ooh, possibly a side effect of the drugs in the ga... How much hair did you lose?x

Re: Hair loss following BA
I did find some information that linked the general anaestetic to hair loss HERE. But ultimately any hair loss as it explains is generally down to stress and is mostly a minor problem.
None of this is connected to having a BA though, you have to remember that if you required a GA for any surgery you ever had the same could occur due the stress of that also. xx
