showering
i had my revision surgery a week ago and they've said i can shower but have to keep the tape on? bit concerned as the tape will still be wet when i dress! is this right?
don't think i was allowed to shower until i could remove and put the tape back on last time?
not seeing the surgeon for 4/5 weeks!
may have to wait to ring them on tuesday to double check and sit in shallow baths until then xx

Re: showering
I had to keep my tape on when I showered. I tried to let it air dry before dressing but did also use my hair dryer on a cool setting. It seemed to dry pretty quickly so wasn't a problem.

Re: showering
As red tulip suggested, a hairdryer on a cool setting will help dry out the tape babe. Do ensure the tape is fully dry though to avoid any risk of infection.
I'm unsure that your tape will last the length of time before going back to see your surgeon though so you may want to ask what you should do if the tape starts to come off? Should you reapply? And if so will they provide you with more tape? Or when the tape does come off should you then just leave it. Xx
