How to Decide on Size?! "Boob greed"

Hello there ladies!

While my search for surgeon consultation no.2 continues to crawl along I thought I'd ask you all about size.

How did you decide on size?

Did you know straight away?
Were you caught between two sizes?
Do you wish you'd gone bigger?

I am yet to fully make my mind up but I was curious as to how easy or difficult this decision was for you.

Also I've heard a lot of people mention "boob greed" and I can see myself falling foul of this!

I didn't decide the size as such Hun! My ps told me what would fit, he recommended 300cc he also said I could go slightly bigger at 325cc but that was it as far as choice for me! I went with the 325cc, and am very happy with the size x

You'll find on forums such as this that many women will say they wish they'd gone bigger... This is a common thing for early post - fast forward a year or so when the majority no longer need the forum and they are very happy with their look. Its just a matter of going through changes and missing upper pole as the breast starts to relax.

You're best bet to get the look 'you' want is to search for it. Look through mens mags, we have before and afters in a thread as a sticky for newbies in the General Breast Augmenation section, find the Boobs YOU like! Print off those pictures and take them with you to your consultation. Having a visual right there between yourself and your surgeon leaves you both in no doubt at all about the look you're wanting rom this surgery lovely. Its all about YOU and what YOU want and to get it, you have to do your homework, find it and relate that throug the pictures and from your research to your surgeon hun. Xx

I did this. I literally had my PS looking at boobs on the internet from links I sent him haha!

I think a lot of the ladies get caught between 2 sizes as the surgery gets closer. They often narrow it down to 2 by then. My final decision was not made until the actual day when my PS said given everything we discussed he would not give me the bigger size option. I pushed a litttle on this wanting the bigger ones in a last minute boob greed panic that I would not get enough from it and that if I was disappointed after spending 5k I would be beside myself! But I told myself (as did my friend and OH) that I picked my PS for a reason, he was clear on what I wanted and to listen to him rather than my pre-op nerves!

Now I am SO glad I did not go bigger. I have exactly what I wanted (if not a little bit more) from a 240cc implant which I never would have thought was possible at one stage!

I'm sort of stuck between two sizes that we discussed in the consultation 270/300 but that was when I told him I wanted to end up in a D cup. I've since thought more about it and with my OH and I think I might want to be a DD possibly an E but I really want my surgeons opinion and obviously if it's even possible as there was no mention of whether 300 is the most he could do.
If he were to say no 300 is as big as you can go I would trust him and go with that but at the moment I'm stuck deciding if I want a DD or a liiiiiitle but more :P

I did show him pictures of what I thought I originally wanted (Blake Livley boobs) but after chatting with Mr Liew and oggling all the gorgeous boobs on here I'm thinking more, Abbey Clancy. So I think my next consultation will be armed with pictures of Abbey in a bikini :P

That's what's stopping me booking anything ATM (and the fact I haven't found another surgeon to chat with) is the fact that I'm getting pretty hung up about how they will look. I felt like I was being perceived as 'difficult' in my consultation when asking for reassurance on the finished product :/

If it helps at all Huni, I started with pretty much nothing. I had 325cc and I was measured at 2 seperate places last week as an F cup!! I don't think I look anywhere near that! But I can make them look bigger/smaller depending on what I wear. I am yet to experiment with different types of bras. X so I would listen to your surgeon Hun, he does know what he's talking about lol. And definatly go armed with pictures! That really helps.

Yeah ignore cup sizes. What you might think of as a 'DD' your surgeon might think of smaller or bigger as you know a 32DD is a lot different to a 38DD so you can never be sure what their perception of size is so pictures is the way to go x

What do we all think of Abbey's boobies? If you google her there is a photoshoot in a green bikini (and an orange one) where her boobs look amazing! (Well in my opinion) I'd be happy with a set like that ;)

I had my first consultation today, and I'm now wondering the same. The surgeon was honest with me and gave me a range of sizes that would suit my frame.... He told me 345 would take me from b to dd. or I could go up to 445 but anything higher would take me over by my arm pits.... So I'm doing rice test at mo and think 400 looks the biggest I would consider at the moment.... Getting excited........

Ohh what's the rice test?

I'm assuming it's a bag of rice in each boob but how do you know the size?

The cc is grams so if say you were thinking of a 300cc implant, weigh up 300 grams of rice, and pop it into some tights, seal it, and bobs your auntie your very own rice boobie lol x obviously make 2

I had 460's and that took me to a ff however im a pretty big build and wanted to fill up what my kids took away.

I was offered 410 mods or 460 highs and i must admit because of hearing about boob greed i went for the larger.

I wouldnt want them any bigger or smaller im happy with the size compleatly :)

Everyone is different. Find Cookie's article on cup sizes...30D being different from 36D in a big way, and also the one on teh fact that a lot of peopel percieve a D/DD to be different from what it really is thanks to media stuff.

If its of any use, I am a size 6-8 dress size. I am narrow and was wearing a 32A before (god knows if it was right but I was tiny). I had 240 full projection round overs and I am currently measuring regularly and expecting to be buying 30/32 D/DD this weekend. Its a lot for my size! They do look like Blake's on me due to my proportions.

What are you at the moment (if you don't mind sharing). There is bound to be someone here of similar measurements before and after is you look at the post op stats thread.

I had 5 consults and they all said different sizes except 2 surgeons which said 300 or340 but the surgeon said he wanted to use 300 as they would suit my frame best so I'm trustin him as he's done it for over 20 years!
Remember u can always make them look bigger with bras but u can't reduce them.

I were really disappointed when my surgeon said I could only have 190cc or 230 at the max I were gutted because I thought omg that's so small, but I put my trust in my surgeon and in the end went for 190cc high profiles and I have jumped from a a to a d n can't believe how big they are for my size anyway. It shows that different sizes do different things for different people I am so happy with mine they are perfect and I would say listen to your surgeon he will do the best for you xx

Also hunni what you "measure" as a DD will be different than how you "look" plus fake boobs look smaller than real ones, so if someone you know is a DD yours may not look that big.

It's so personal hunni...I measure a DD/F (depending on my weight haha) and I definitely look a D.

Hi nire, u prob read in my other posts on ur profile thread that different surgeons will have different ideas about what will suit u, or that was my experience and therefore don't accept blindly advice, shop around! If I had only seen 1 surgeon n just gone with him I would have 310 anatomicals just now, or smaller as he thought 310 was big for me!. And u r smart to not shy away from asking for a dd or e. Know what u want before ur op then u can see by talking to different surgeons if its possible.
just for an example- I showed two friends my spare 34E marks n spencer sports bra which looks massive and they both couldn't believe that that was the exact same size bra I was wearing. They honestly don't "look" that big but as cookie etc say many of us have a skewed perception of what a d or dd or e cup actually is. Mine look big in my Avi but that's a tight low cut top taken from a certain angle, you wouldn't know much difference from my old padded bras if I had on a shirt or something. X

I haven't had my surgery yet, but same as the other ladies I think you have to trust what your PS reccommends.
Mine has reccommended 360cc unders, he told me any bigger wouldn't look right on my frame.

I think because I originally said D we never actually discussed going bigger in my consultation so I don't know what he thinks. I would never discount the surgeons opinion haha he know a lot more than I think I do but I'd like to have made my mind up on what I want to be so I'm not stood around in the next consultation 'umming' and 'aaahing' wasting everyone's time. If that makes sense. That way I can say, "I want to be a size 32X doc what implants do you recommend"

Also I am bottom heavy my boobs measure, 31" my waist is 24" and my hips/bum are 38" (my butt proper sticks out haha) so I need a good evening out.
