Re: Writing a letter to my mum...
I know you'll be having a better weekend than the last few now this is out of the way haha!.... Do you feel you've gotten over the nerves that were stopping you from wanting your surgery now? Xx
Re: Writing a letter to my mum...
I think so Cookie. I was just having a bad patch but feel loads better and have noticed a definite shift in my thought process these past few days. I'm sure it'll happen again but I am in a better position to deal with it, and having my mum's support was what I really needed so I am so pleased she's offering it and really is eager to discuss it with me and be there for me, which means the world, particularly when I've been feeling quite alone xxx

Re: Writing a letter to my mum...
Thanks Cookie, your help has been so invaluable to me. Without you, I probably wouldn't have sent the email or at the very least, I wouldn't have known what to say. I feel absolutely on top of the world just now. This was really the block that was holding me back.
Tink, thank you so much. I really feel like I know you guys and that you are so supportive and want the best for each other, I'm honoured to be a part of this forum. Today feels like a fresh start. Sun is shining, birds are singings, I feel in such good spirits. I hope everyone else is feeling the same xxxxx

Re: Writing a letter to my mum...
im so pleased for you hun, i know how hard this was for you so i hope its done wonders for your confidence now as i know you were reconsidering whether the BA was worth it. i think with the support of your mum you'll look forward even more now and feel more positive and hopefully the results of the BA will give you that much needed confidence boost you need. also well done on the 5lbs loss, im also trying to lose weight before my BA so if you need a boob and diet buddy, here i am! xx

Re: Writing a letter to my mum...
Aww thank you lumpy bumpy, that's so sweet of you! Yes, it has definitely given me a confidence boost, I'm going to see if my mum can stay with me for the week following my surgery and perhaps join me for my second consultation with the surgeon. And of course, I'd love to have you as my diet buddy! I think planning for a BA is the best incentive to lose weight! xx

Re: Writing a letter to my mum...
fab! u dont look like you have a lot to lose, in fact you dont look like you have any to lose lol so we'll get there together! i've lost 10lbs and 7 inches so far, ideally i want to fit into size 10 jeans, im currently a fitted (my meaning for tight!) size 12 so shouldnt take me long to slim and tone, the summer and my BA is my incentive too! also, im sure your mum will stay with you she'll want to make sure you're on the mend after an op like that! im planning on staying with mine after my op as she has the sky world package so i can watch all the telly i like haha! xx

Re: Writing a letter to my mum...
God on you losing so much! I want to be a size 10-12 and ideally 10 st. I'm 11 st 7 lbs just now so I'm sure I'll get there (I've put on a bit of weight since that pic was taken in February!) What diet are you following? Haha! Yes, Sky World sounds amazing! I will have to get a hotel in Birmingham (where I'm having my BA) for a week so I'm hoping my mum will stay for most of it. It'll be a nice chance for us to spend some quality time together too xxx

Re: Writing a letter to my mum...
im sort of following cambridge diet, i did it last year very strictly and lost 3 stone in 3 months but put on half of that since doing my dissertation, im terrible for chocolate and ive been rewarding myself with too much of it whenever i finish a chapter! so im on 2 shakes a day plus a healthy lunch and dinner, around 1000-1200 cals a day with plenty of protein and veg. its going ok so far, only want to lose another stone before my con in july so ive got a while to get there which im not sure is a good thing as i tend to allow myself too many treats lol!
i'll be having my BA away from home too hun, im in south Wales and the surgeon is in cheltenham, not too far around 1.5 hours but i'll prob book the night before and the night of the BA then travel home the next day. when have u booked for? ive only booked my consult for now, july 31st, coz i wanted to get the dissertation done and dusted first then hopefully book for sept/oct to heal over winter! xx

Re: Writing a letter to my mum...
brave lady - and a great reminder that you are the one living your life, although it's so much more fun if you have support! Enjoy the early stages of your journey with your mum, and remember that there are quite a few decisions ahead of you that only you can make, as you can't wear boobs that someone else has influenced/ chosen/ approved of. x

Re: Writing a letter to my mum...
Thank you so much girls! And Boodreams, what wonderful advice. I am slowly learning that our lives are our on to create and no one else has any right to influence our choices. I said to my mum that while I would love to have her support, I am not looking for her permission as my mind was already made up. She fully respected this and we spoke for a long time about it today, which was lovely xxx
