It's prob because you've got unders rather than the type of implant. Using weights on the chest will affect the pec muscle which is the one in top of your implants and this is prob why they're feeling sore. Just be careful cos you could get muscle distortion x

I have polyurethane overs and I am nearly 6 months post op. I am a gym addict and do loads of weights and I havent had any problems with the implants hurting or aching. I must admit though I have kept my chest weights lower just in case I do any damage! I agree that the discomfort is probably down the placement rather than the implants themselves. My surgeon advised overs for me cos I had enough tissue but she also strongly advised them due to my gym habbits as she said I would get back to my old routine easier and have less discomfort when working out and she said I could get muscle distortion if I had unders due to my work outs. Just take things slowly and start with lower weights or less reps and give it time but listen to your body xx

Love the avatar shirtstripper!

Have you noticed any muscle distortion babe?

Muscle distortion can sometimes occur with partials and working the upper body the implant can sometimes jump, or contract in the breast as the muscle tightens around the implant. Some ladies do complain of pain as this happens.

If you do notice any kind of distortion at all (look in the mirror when lifting weights, you will see a distortion to the breast IF this is the problem) and if you see the breast rise or jump, you'll have your answer lovely.

Lifting weights will NOT cause muscle distortion though hun, so don't worry you might suffer it by lifting weights. You won't. If you can see it its probably always been there but you probably just didnt notice the jumping before because although it may have been visible you just didnt 'feel any pain'. But with actually working the muscle now and the muscle around the implant being possibly tight it may now be causing the pain.

If there's no visible distortion at all, after 18 months post surgery I can't really see the pain being related to your BA hun and will probably just be the fact that you're now working new muscles in your body (you said this excercise was recent) so like with any muscle you first start working, it does ache at first for a while but gets easier the more you work out the muscle.
