Working out again!
Hello, and thank you for your time in answering all our questions!
I had my second ba August 17th. My first one was March 23rd. The first time I had 350 cc silicone moderate + under the muscle. I didn't like how they sat on my chest and so I opted to have them re-done with 500cc HP silicone unders with crease incision. LOVE how they look. The first time I wasn't given the go ahead to lift weights even 5-8 lbs until 6 weeks. This time I just had my 4 week check up last week and my PS lifted all restrictions on me (except for wearing an underwire...have to wait 6 weeks for this) and I am just a little nervous about this. From what I have read, it seems like we are suppose to wait for 6 weeks on this. Is it because the pocket was already there? He said I was healed well enough and I could resume my workout routine and this is what I have been doing. However, it makes me nervous about messing things up. I don't want to cause any problems. Is it ok to continue on working out (right now the most I am lifting is 8 lbs and also strength exercises. I am not doing any kind of chest workout). I also do kick boxing.
Thank you for any response I can get.

Re: Working out again!
Hello,
What exercise’s are you actually doing? What’s your workout “plan”? Depending on what you’re doing if you’re staying away from chest and only doing leg’s, back, tri and bi’s you should be ok. I wouldn’t be doing heavy shoulder press or seated rows as it seems to put more pressure on your chest muscles. If your PS has given you the ok then I’m sure you’ll be fine if it hurts don’t do it.

Re: Working out again!
Thanks Jene,
I am actually doing kickboxing, free weights, and strength exercises. I also do a lot of abs and lower body along with shoulders. I am feeling fine now. I was just really sore to begin with again. A contributing factor could have also been that I started massaging at the same time. So I think some of my soreness could have been from that too. Feeling good again....thanks.

Re: Working out again!
Hi . There are no hard and fast rules to these things and your surgeon should is in the best position to advise you - but your body will tell you too. So if it hurts ease back, whether its 2 weeks or 2 months , and then push on again. I did once see a lady who had an impact to the breast kick boxing at a month and the force split the would open from the inside . So contact sports such as this must be seen as the most hazardous - perhaps some body armour to begin with ?!? Hope all is well now and your back in full flight !
