Re: Working out post op
Good q zthomas. I know not before 6 weeks, but I don't see my surgeon till I'm more like 3 months as he's so busy. Do I have to wait till I see him for the all clear?

Re: Working out post op
I was told it was fine to do some gentle cardio like walking as soon after the op as I felt ready. But anything strenuous or involving weights is, in general, after 6 weeks. You'll have to ask your surgeon what's best for you as everyone's given different advice, but at my 6 week check I was told I could start introducing everything I used to do before my op just slowly - and if anything hurts then stop.
Re: Working out post op
Hey ,
Everyone is different an ur surgeons advice will be best , however , in my journey I began walking after a week and continued that untill 4 weeks when I began cardio at the gym (minus running) and after 6 weeks I then got back into circuits an weights minus chest workouts , I had overs tho with my incisions in the crease so it may be different for u with ur placement and incisions ? I do know that a main issue is the swell u get from the increased blood circulation so nothing too demanding whilst ur stitches heal !
The best advice u can offer towards your exercise is to be very well supported with at least a grade 3 sports bra , mine was a grade 4 an ur helped a lot !
Defo seek the advice of yr medical professional but don't worry too much about being out of fitness for ages because I wasn't at all ,
Good luck !!
Xxxx

You have to be more careful with unders as if they shhot up into the muscle you need an op to bring em down again!! :(

Re: Working out post op
It'll be at least 6 weeks post-op babe to enable your new boobs to have time to heal and achieve the best result possible for you.
Walking is fine when you feel up to it and will make you feel much better too. X

Re: Working out post op
For me the nurse gave me the all clear from 6 weeks and I didn't have to wait for my surgeon's approval. Clinics and surgeon's have their own set of rules so do check it out before you do start exercising again hun!x
