- I've been advised to get a total support bra, but I have seen many people are using sports bras - does it matter?
- The drains they remove on the day before I come home - does that hurt? Not good with blood and the thought makes my turn a little...
- Will i get to see my new boobs after my op? I know they have dressing on the incisions, but not sure if I will be wrapped up like a mummy?
Thanks Ladies xx

Sports/support bra = similiar thing. Always buy what you have been recommended :)
I had drains for my 1st BA, and it didn't really hurt when they were taken out - just felt strange. Other people say it really hurts so it's a personal thing.
You won't be able to see boobs properly when you wake up, you'll probably wake up with your sports bra on. Some people have a chest band also.
As for people sticking their 2p in, it's your body and your decision. People making bitchy or blunt comments is usually down to jealousy. You do what makes you happy x

thats great thank you...
I don't suppose if you know if I can fly 2 weeks after op? Chance work may need me to travel 2 weeks after and need to let them know if I can go. I am trying to bring my BA date forwards to ensure I have enough time.

I don't think it would be advisable to fly 2weeks postop hun. At the most that'll be when your dressingsbetc will need to be changed and not only that you won't be able to carry anything, luggage definatly not. At 2weeks I was only just back driving and starting to feel normal. !
Sports bras yes same as support bras.
I've never had drains on any of mine so I can't help there.
Mine were bandaged up like a mummy so couldn't see them. Some only have dressings on insidious but it's down to your surgeon how he chooses to bandage you.
Don't worry ornletbother people's opinions bring you down, your having this done for you and to make you happy and as long as you are , then let others comments go over your head,MIT only boils down to jealousy, insecurities and ignorance. X

You sooooooo had the same nurse as me
That really confused me about the whole sports bra thing too because she was like "nooooo sports bras!!" but all the girls on here have them! I think now that she means not one of those sports bras that is more like a cropped or "cami" top. Rather it should have support running up the middle as well as the sides so that it holds each breast. If that makes sense.
The drains didn't hurt me but they did make me feel sick as they came out. You won't regret booking Mr M - he is awesome xxxxx

Ooh and you should get a look when you come out. Not sure if he does everyone the same but I was bare chest in my gown when I came round and then had an hour or so with my babies before the nurse (not her, a different one) came in and put my bra on me x

Thanks mrsball... I'll be letting work know I won't be flying, my coordinator at transform said I should be okay to fly after 2 weeks but don't want to be flying in pain. As you said I will need to be carrying luggage.
How are you getting on lauraloubell after your op? I really liked dr m, found him quite amusing. Was trying to temp be to the 525cc implants haha but said I would stick with 460cc. He called me a chicken which made me laugh.
I'm hoping I can see them the same day... I'm so impatient I want the op now.
Not sure if I liked the nurse I saw though, she don't really take a joke.

I have bought the support bras for now but I think I will be changing to the sports bra after couple of weeks. The support bras are hideous :(
