Which Surgeon?? Please help.
Hello. Ive looked into the Harley Medical Group, Transform and other local places for op but I really wanna make sure I make the right choice for my surgeon. Can any please reccommend their surgeons whos done a good job along with the companies they work alongside so I can actually get some first hand information.
Also just seen Mr Lahoud from Transform, he seemed very straight to the point but dont know anything about his reputation. Can any one help there? Thanks, would appreciate any replies to help me with my pre op nerves right now :D

Have you tried Mybreast hun, if you want the best baaps and BAPRAS registered surgeon are the best and all Mybreast surgeons are registered. You could also see private surgeons near you that are registered.
Re: Which Surgeon?? Please help.
Spire, bmi hospitals , nuffields, all usually have bapras registered surgeons so may be worth having a consulation with one of them also . X

I have one booked for Spire Southampton just with the nurse at this stage and get a feel of it before paying to see a surgeon. Have you head of what they are like at Spire?

Hey.
Yeah origional consultation was booked in with HMG but heard nothing but bad things so didnt give it a second thought. Whats the reputation of Transform, do you know? So far, so good, from my research and comments on my possible surgeon from this site so feeling better about it now ive done some real research. xx

I am still pre-BA but just to share, I spent 4 years thinking about it, 2 months getting serious in my head and another 2 researching some local privates. I only saw 2 but knew the first wasn't for me and the second fit the bill. You're doing the right thing & this forum is a great community. I haven't found anybody who has had my chosen dr. but he's at BMI (baaps, bapras, gmc) & has NhS practice as all privates do. I considered Nuffield & have only heard good things.

I'm not sure about Transform as I didn't have a consult with them, but lots of ladies on here have experience with them x

Thanks boodreams, looks like you are really putting a lot of thought into it which is great, shows your really thinking about every opportunity. And I have heard about your clinic, I need to do a lot of info into that one next and book in a consultation. The more the merrier!
Princess_x, yes thanks for that, i am finding a lot of chats about transform but less about the actual surgeon. Its funny as its the surgeons that are actually doing the surgeries and there seems to be less info on them singularly and the clinics themselves are generalised more.
Too keen for boobies. Latest dream involved me waking up asking out loud whether i had been sleeping on my front because im not allowed to because of the new implants. Then to realise that I had been dreaming :( Sad times.

Re: Which Surgeon?? Please help.
I had transform... Found them a bit over familiarl at first appointment, but the lady "got" what I wanted and helped me pick my surgeon, being really honest about who I shouldn't have. Once we were all set I met him and just knew he was right. Researching confirmed it for me. I'm not really one to shop around and confuse myself if something feels right.
I had Mr Meleagros at transform and he is just amazing. He's a fairly quite man and made me feel like he was an old uncle or something! He has given me exactly what I wanted. Tbh though once I had paid up, the rest of the service (clinic not hospital day) hasn't been great. I feel like just a number to my nurse and coordinator sadly. The number of times I've heard "Laura we have hundreds of patients" if I ask things or wonder why I haven't been called back etc. I wouldn't change a thing though for Mr M. He was wonderful and I'm so happy.

Re: Which Surgeon?? Please help.
I have booked with transform in Manchester I haven't had the op yet but I have been to see them a number of times because I am so picky my surgeon is mr Ali he is a nice guy tells u the truth because at the end of the day that's what u need the truth although I have been disappointed with the size we choose because they didnt have the size in for me to try on which were very annoying but after talking to girls I have learnt everyone is different and I have arranged too see him again with the right sized implant so hopefully it should all be cleared up, upto now I have been very happy with the service a lot better than HMG they patronised me in a way and made me feel as if I were just a little girl hope everything goes okay for you :) xx

Re: Which Surgeon?? Please help.
hi hun,
I'm still pre BA but have mine booked mine for the end of the month.
Firstly I looked into Transform as a few friends recommended me, I was at first impressed with them, however as soon as I met the surgeon that I thought I wanted I quickly changed my mind. They were quite pushy and rude, I felt really rushed and like they just wanted me to book there and then.
After that ordeal (which put me off my BA completely!) I decided to look for a surgeon first rather than a company. After a month of researching I decided I wanted to see a baaps and BAPRAS registered surgeon as I knew I would be in good hands. I finally decided on Sultan Hassan, he works privatly, for the NHS and for The Hospital Group. I made a consltation to see him and I was so impressed. I was in there for a hour, he talked me through everything and put me at such ease. Even though he's not done my surgery yet I am so confident that I am in good hands. I could recommend him from just a consulation alone lol!
I think the hardest thing is finding a surgeon who you want to affectivly change your life, good luck in finding the best surgeon for you xxxx

Re: Which Surgeon?? Please help.
Hey hun, i can only reiterate whats already been said by the other girls. If you want the best surgeon around then you should look into baaps/bapras surgeons, you can find these privately through the baaps/bapras websites or contact your local mybreast/spire/bmi/nuffield :)
There are some very good surgeons working for the big companies however i agree, these companies seem to push the importance of themselves over the importance of the surgeon and whilst aftercare is always important the no.1 deciding factor should be the surgeon who is operating on you
good luck in your journey hun xx

Re: Which Surgeon?? Please help.
I went with an Independant company called stethix in Liverpool.
I decided to go with a small company as i thought I would b more than a number and I'm really glad I did.
Stethix gives 3 yrs aftercare, all their surgeons are registered.
I liked how approachable they were and that I only dealt with the surgeon not a sales person.
Also I felt my implants hasn't dropped properally although everyone that saw my pic trail asked why I was having a re-op my surgeon never questioned me and asked me when I would like my free ree-op and booked it there and then.
I've been pleased with the service I have had.
That is a big thing to remember babe your paying for a service xx

Re: Which Surgeon?? Please help.
Hey - I went to Spire harpenden and mr Sojitra. I found him on the BAAPS website.. I first had a consultation with MR Hassan but then I couldn't find him on the register so I did some more research and found Mr Sojitra.
Really happy so far but am only 21 days post op - I also had an uplift which Is more complicated so went for a breast specialist. And Mr Sojitra had all of the credentials.
Spire harpenden were amazing and give you two post surgical bras too.
So far so good for me is all I can say - good luck!!! X

Re: Which Surgeon?? Please help.
Hi all. Thanks again for all the information given.
So its safe to say that as long as im finding them on BAPRAS and BAAPS then they should be good surgeons with all the correct qualifications?? Probs a silly question so please forgive my ignorance lol.
The surgeon I have looked into at Transform isnt on BAPRAS, BAAPS so that immediately made me s**t myself :S However the Spire I am looking into , 4 out of the 6 surgeons they have in the south are registered on those sites so its safe to say i consult with them over the guys at transform who arnt on there?? Its probably better anyway as it saves the travel to london, well its the travel back im afraid of lol.
Speak to you all soon I hope, getting lots of good advice here so very glad I joined :D
