Getting impatient
Sorry I haven't been on in a while been very busy.
I'm now nearlly 5 weeks post op.. My left boob has now totally dropped and looks really natural my right is horrible it's not dropped at all my nipple is still very low and the inside of my breast/cleavage area looks odd. Am seeing te surgeon tomorrow and am sure it's all because the righty hasn't dropped at all yet but I am fed up and being impatient I am paranoid it's always going to be like this since it never fully dropped or looked nice before :(

Re: Getting impatient
It took my righty 10 weeks to drop babe. I felt like I had wonky boobs forever! So know how you're feeling lovely
Five weeks sounds such a long time doesn't it babe, but it can take anything up to a year or more for our boobs to fully heal so when you think like that you're really still in the very early stages of healing hun.
In saying that if your boobs aren't dropping at your stage in your recovery your surgeon should be made aware so they can either advise you on any further recovery instruction he might want you to do (I had to massage mine to encourage it down) or they may require you to wait it out some more and see how things go whilst they monitor your progress.
Either way Kuru you MUST ensure that what you're feeling about your concerns are written in your notes. This is VERY important. Don't be shy of requesting your surgeon remote back to you what has been written so you can feel comfortable that your exact concerns are noted or if anything is missed you can ask the surgeon to add to the notes.
Hope all goes well when you see your surgeon babe and please let us know how you get on. Xx

Will do cookie. I'm going to play the is this normal card since I never had a follow up before. There is a HUGE difference in my side profile now you can see where the peak if you want to call it that is my righty!! It's really getting me down because it makes everything look different :( I will tell him tomorrow. I really don't want to be stuck with a permaugly right :(

Re: Getting impatient
I'm five weeks yesterday and mine are like that. I was showing them to my friend the other day and saying my left is wonky and bigger and he says 'no, the right ones bigger' and he was right, the right one has now got bigger than the left and I hadn't even noticed It's crazy how stuff changes overnight! I think my right has fluffed a bit maybe? The nipple is higher than my left and it looks more natural, the left looks like it wants to go east all the time, and its smaller, tho this was the breast that was the slightly bigger one lol.
It gets really annoying doesn't it, and it wouldnt be so bad if we KNEW 100% that they were going to right given time. I'm sure everything will be fine, we just have to be patient. I just wanted you to know that you're not alone chick and mine are still very much wonky!

Re: Getting impatient
Aaaw, its rubbish isn't it, we just want them to be perfect, we dont want to have to bloody wait lol!! Are you taking hundreds of pictures everyday too and analysing them to see if theres ANY change? If anyone ever finds my phone they'll think its a perverts phone when they look at the photos. I should be an expert on every centimeter of my breasts now!
You can see from my avi that my right is bigger, the slope is more natural while the left still has a rounded look, you cant see from the pic but the nipple looks likes it wants to go for a wander on its own!
I'm sure that you'll be fine, look at Cookie, hers was like that for ten weeks so we could still have a long way to go! xx

Re: Getting impatient
Tink I think you've been very patient!!
Gem.. Yup I need to take pics off
Princess... They were as symmetrical as boobs are..I didn't have any asymmetry pre BA (this was a revision) you can see that ones no settled since the top is very round and the other not.... The one that's dropped was the one with the higher grade of CC

Re: Getting impatient
I know how you feel hun, mine were wonky at 6 months post op, one stubborn boob just wouldn't drop. It did eventually but it was so annoying
Re: Getting impatient
Surgeon said he couldn't see much difference.. I can lol
Tink I actually thought about you after I spoke to him.. I did post but ill repost here what I wrote.
Just finished seeing my surgeon for my post op check and had a PCc sit in... He asked me how I was (told me I look exhausted.. Wonderful!) ask about pain etc I told him one had settled but other hadnt.. Before he had a look he goes oh I remember you now lol then got my files out and said (before I got to ask) I had to change you from sub muscular to sub mammary (unders to overs) because when I opened you up the muscle was so tight. I said what ? And he went on to explain that unders do not work for me because my muscles are very strong (I do not go to the gym or any exercise other than walking btw) and they would not let go of the implant and were contracting constantly.. He said I had NO Capsular Contracture and he was very shocked as he was adamant that it was severe and causing the pain and distortion but the whole time it was my muscles.. Which explains why my right never dropped fully before and why i thought i was having a heart attack! i am so shocked. He said if I hadn't of had enough breast tissue (lucky I put on weight really!) then I would of been stuffed!
He said he thinks they've both settled well I said I don't think one has so was told to wait.. Wants to see me in 6 months time . Said I can wear underwires for special occasions (I won't!!) and can wear a soft bra for crufts... He thinks my scars have healed very well and very fast!!
Blooming PC kept butting her nose in which was doing my head in she told me the band of my bra is too tight (it's a 30 and it is a little tight this particular bra) and I should wear a 34!! I told her thanks but I'm fine and will be fitted by a professional.. The dr was like she's not a 34 she's small I used the smallest diameter implants because she's small (LOL LOL STUPID WOMAN!) .
Wants me in sports bras for another 3 weeks and to stay in them at night for longer,l and wants to see me in 6 months time.

Re: Getting impatient
Did your concerns about asymmetry noted babe? Especially as our surgeon was insistent they'd both settled well, its important that he wrote YOUR concerns babe rather than simply writing that HE felt they'd both settled. Xx
Re: Getting impatient

Re: Getting impatient
Yep everything was noted.. Although he thinks they are normal.. I also followed it up with an email ;)
Tbh I am not overly worried, it's not that noticeable at all but I can see ones not settled just yet. 5 weeks is very very early my noobs are very very soft, squishy, bouncey so I think I just expect them to be way better. My scars are hardly noticeable he was very very shocked (so was the bra expert pcc ;) I'm seeing him in 6 months time so if they still haven't matched by then I will get stroppy but I think I'm so early post op still what can I expect??
I might start measuring my nipple height to see when they move up LOL
