op fear
Hey Girls,
I haven't got my op date yet but it will hopefully be March/April and I am already terrified! I have never been in hospital for anything never mind an operation. I am just trying to think of the end result and how much I want them but the thought of an op is scaring me to death. any tips on how to feel calmer about the situation?

Re: op fear
Research research research and this fantastic forum.
I was really worried but the more you understand what the procedure involves etc the better you will feel. Plus the girls on here are great for information and support.
Its normal to be scared...I still am abit.

Re: op fear
Try taking a read through the surgery stories left here by our lovely ladies Adele,
You may also find this thread [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] helpful to you babe. Pre-op jitters are more common than you think sweetness. So many of us experience the same but we're ALL just fine

Re: op fear
I found reading other people's stories the most helpful as like you I'd never had an operation and was really scared. Reading how other people coped and what happened on their op day made me feel better. The fear is the worst bit, the op day for me was the easy part. All I had to do was go to sleep and wake up with new boobies.
Re: op fear

Re: op fear
I found all the different emotions came in waves. At the start when I had made the desision was when I was most scared, not sleeping ect. Then it got better and I was excited. Then kind of forgot about it and put it to the back of my mind for a couple of weeks. Now its only 1 day away I have the "do I really need to do this" doubts. It all very srtange. Reading all the stories and other threads has been such a help. Especially this morning when I nearly bottled it.
Enjoy the roller coaster ;O) xx

Hello fellow Scot (I'm Glaswegian!)
Please don't worry. TBH I am a natural worrier and I am far more excited than nervous about my BA, I think because the stories on this forum are so positive and uplifting and I have read so many times that the girls are so well looked after by hospital staff and any concerns they may have had are dealt with by the staff. Express any concerns you have with the people in the hospital, they will soon put your mind at ease. Focus on those bikinis and in a few months, your fears will be a thing of the past! Very best of luck with your surgery, though you won't need it xx
