Question about lopsidedness (is that a word? lol)
Hi All,
So i was seven weeks post op yesterday, I obviously still have loads of healing and changes o go, but have a question...
When i had my consult and measurements etc, the surgeon said I had one nipple sitting slightly higher than the other. He said it was such a small difference (he re measured quite a few times) and then on the day of my op he remeasured again and even said he wasn't sure if its just where one shoulder is slightly higher therefore lifting that side.... anyway
so having implants put in.... will that make any difference appear greater?
Currently my right is sitting much higher and have a bit of wonky boob going on... I'm not fussed at all as my right needs to drop more anyway and I know theres lots of changes ahead, but if I started with one nipple higher than the other, will it be more apparent now with implants (I couldn't see it myself before or after it was pointed out anyway)
xx

In general lovely... Yes. Any problems with asymmetry will be enhanced after having a BA. Xx

sorry to go off topic but this has just made me sooooo angry - at my consultation with transform the sales girl was banging on about 'you won't notice a difference, when they're bigger the difference is minimal' bla bla bla. I know that sales girls talk from their **naughty word** but imagine if I hadn't found this forum i'd take what she said as gospel. Plus the fact they schedule you in for about 5 minutes with the surgeon. oooooh makes my blood boil!!
Sorry to hijack MissFeb, hope your nippes heal ok! xxx

I had a 0.5 difference in nipple position & i had different implant sizes. Altho most likely change the size with my reop..

I have the same situation as you although I am still pre ba. My right shoulder is slightly lower than my left making my nipple lower on my right. My surgeon said that they both match the exact same space between my nipple and crease, because they measure the same he said that the implants wont make worse etc.
Im worried now, got visions of wonky boobies

Yes it will magnify the difference. I had no idea my nipples were 'lopsided' / not symmetrical until I had my first BA. The BA made them look much worse, which bothered me a bit, so I got it corrected when I had another BA to get my PIP's replaced. x

I had the same one boob slightly higher than the other and never noticed until my ps pointer it out but also I took pre op photos and I can really notice it now. Not sure if its something to do with shoulders being higher or lower though so can't comment on that. Now I'm post op I can't say it's made it worse at all and if anything has improved it. They are not 100% perfect but everything is still healing and I'm very happy. With that in mind try not to worry to much as a good ps would hopefully be able to spot it & correct it x c
