Morning, just woken up after first night at home.
When I saw Mr Withey before discharge yesterday he said it wasn't necessary to wear a sports bra untill 1 week post op but said if I felt more comfortable it was fine to wear one (not the macom for a week though) so I've been wearing my 32F M&S high impact and I've woken up this morning and think its too tight round the band. Should it be this tight?
Also, how propped up should I be sleeping? I've got a normal pillow on the bed, the the v pillow then another normal pillow for my head but when I woke up, I wasn't that propped up.
Not feeling very comfy this morning! My ribs feels as if they've been crushed in a vice!

Yes the sweeping will make you jump up a band size or two, get yourself a bra extender to use for a few weeks with the Macom till the swelling subsides and you may find it useful I. The evening s even when the swelling subsides as you'll find it tighter in the evenings .
2pillows and a v pillow is fine just as long as your head and shoulders are above your chest to help swelling subside. Use the v pillow on top to support your head and arms .

As for rib pain I sympathise, regular pain meds, rest and ice packs x

Thanks MrsB! It's actually subsiding a bit since I've been awake and sitting upright. Thought I'd be fine with a 32 as I only measured 28 round the ribs! Is this the infamous 'morning boob?' Trying to wake other half up to bring me a cuppa and some ice packs! X

Rib pain and morning boob are totally different, rib pain feel alike bruised ribs, morning boob is when you sit up from laying and your boobs feel like lead weights and throb and actually had me in tears! It only lasts for a minute or so after and as your sitting up x

Don't think it was that then, but the pain has eased a bit.

Awww hun, its just your swelling kicking in now. If your surgeon has advised you don't need to wear a sportsbra for the first week I'd take it off lovely and give yourself some relief.

That rib pain, along with morning boob was the worst of my BA journey so I feel of ya hun Hug

Being propped up: as long as your head and shoulders are raised higher than your chest its fine babe. Xx

Thanks girls, Cookie, we've just popped out for coffee and lunch but when I get in I'll take it off for a bit, he said I could wear it if I felt better with it but this morning it felt as if it was crushing my ribs! I've also put on the white M&S one which feels better than the black for some reason!

Ladies. How long does it take for scars to fade? Curious as iv never had an opportunity in my life so have no clue about scars. I'm only 2weeks post op and I have tape on my scars still. I had a ba and nipple lift, I sooo wana peak at the scars. But the nurse from my 1week follow up appointment said if I pulled it off I could pull the glue and be left with a hole....scary! The coming Friday I have to soak in a bath and peel off gently aply more tape then my 4th follow up appointment she takes it off and it's bye bye tape forever. Also I wanted to know if I could go to the gym and do maybe 30mins on stationary bike and 30mins walking uphill on treadmill? Usually love the gym and really irritating me not going. But by breasticles are my priority atm. Just thought the bike would be gentle not using upper body? Xx

Really tinkerbell24, how long would you say to stay away from the gym for being a gym lover? I went to Morrisons yesterday for a shop and it knocked me off my feet but thought I was just having an off day.x
