Advice pls ladies.
Hi ladies.
Your advice and knowledge needed please.
Surgery scheduled for tomorrow morning 10am.
All day today i have been cleaning like mad...like i'm about to go into labour! Is this normal? Even the kids think i have gone mad.. lol
Secondly, i am looking at the kids and thinking...what am i doing? I am a mother. Do i really need bigger boobs?
Thirdly, my kids range from 18-12 and i have told them i am going away to see a mate fo the day and will be back on Tuesday...as i am having overs how long will it be before i can do tasks like washing dishes etc...nothing like hoovering, as my surgeon has told me a big NO NO for 2 week
All advice appreciated ladies x

you will be fine i promise its time for mummy time and you will be back to full swing in a few weeks and even til then you can still do mummy things!!
as for washing the dishes etc even if i could have done them i was so so drained from the GA for around 5 days and then after that i started getting better daily
i had unders so im still struggling to do somethings like hoovering and mopping i just done have the upper body strength
i did tell my eldest i was going into hospital for a small op under my arm so that she knew i had had something done xx

Very normal hun. We all know that preparation is what is going to make for an easier recovery so the more we do pre-op the less we have to do post-op, but for most of us that can go into overdrive lol. Its just nerves babe and our bodies way of releasing all that tension.
Secondly, i am looking at the kids and thinking...what am i doing? I am a mother. Do i really need bigger boobs?
Yup! We can come up with all kinds of excuses not go through with it. I even started looking at my iddybiddy flaps of skin and thinking "they really aren't that bad... Why am I doing this?" Hahaha so crazy when I look back now, but again, its only nerves hun. You'll be just fine tomorrow.

It depends babe... Having overs doesn't necessarily mean pull have a better recovery than someone with unders. We each will react differently to surgery. It could be that you'll bounce back after surgery and after a couple of days to get the GA out of your system feel absolutely fine... Or it could be that you need a good week to get over it hun.
Its best not to set yourself any goals and to make those around you that are caring for you after surgery aware that you're going to need their help for at least a week. If you feel good before that, then all is good, but if you do need help for a little longer at least you'll have it at hand and they will be prepared to be there for you lovely.
Take your recovery a day at a time and you'll be OK hun. Xx

Aw hun, I was the same with the cleaning and that! It was like I was going away lol I changed all beds got upto date with all washing etc as Cookie says its all preparation that makes for a easier recovery!
I felt same about my kids what am I doing eye it's all part of pre op jitters will a be worth it at the end, I wish I'd had mine years ago now! My kids are 12,8 and 4 and I just told mine what was happening. Seeing as I was going from flat chested to having boobs figured they would work it out anyway! Can't comment on how your recovery will be with overs as I've had unders but just be sure to make everyone pull their weight with household duties to make it easier. I was able to put washing on after a couple of days and do light washing up but big tasks like washing floors hoovering etc I'm enlisting the help of the kids lol xx
