Hi girls :-)
Im quite new to this forum as only just started looking into BA' again.. Had a consultation with Transform in Maidstone and now got a date booked to meet my surgeon on 16th April as he wasnt in clinic when i went to my consultation. Im going with Mr Khan so far and dead excited but also very nervous as i dont know what to expect!

Ive looked into BA for years and wanted it ever since being a teen and developing ha.
Im now 22, and my mind has never changed. i feel like being selfish and getting them done now while i have no major commitments such as a house and kids.

My mum and boyfriend never liked the idea when i was younger, when i went for my first consultation when i was 18 so i always shyed away from the idea.. Now a few years on and still persistent on getting them done my mum and boyfriend of 5 years are finally being supportive-ish. My mum feels its a lot of money (which shes right!) and my boyfriend loves me the way i am. But both say they want me to be happy in myself.

Im 5"5 and weigh 9st5. Size 10/12 clothes. I feel i have a boyish figure as im pretty flat chested as you may see from my avatar.. My most comfortable bra is a 34A, but i do have 34B bras if they are push up.

Hoping to achieve a D cup, although reading these forums this seems the 'newbie' thought process anyways, and people tend to wish they went bigger, or become bigger anyways and love it.

Sorry for the essay.. Ha! But id love to hear some of your stories and experiences :-)

Hello! wavey
Lovely to hear the start of your journey!
Have you been to any other consultations? it's good to get at least 3 opinions and one being a BAAPS surgeon.. A couple of girls on here have been with transform and had problems with their aftercare. But then others are very happy xx

Hi Vicky and welcome. Yes defiantly have another consultation with a BAAPS surgeon. I'm from kent and I found a BAAPS surgeon within easy reach. Don't let a nurse advise you on size etc. a surgeon should be doing that. Transform I feel is a bit commercial but some girls are happy to go there. I have no experiance of transform. I hope you get results you are looking for soon. Xxxx

My care co-ordinator just advised me if the basics such as recovery time, how long to take off work, costs, how long surgery takes, what happens on the day etc.

Yeah im nervous because i worry i will choose the wrong surgeon, but i suppose when you meet someone you kind if know, cause you feel comfortable and accept there advice right? Its a big decision!

Hi, yes of course you trust there advice but we are all different . I Went to the sloane hospital . Bmi, and had raj ragoowansi. He is a BAAPS surgeon and is also a consultant in quiet a few hospitals. A fantastic surgeon. It's in beckanham . I am the same stats as you but started of a 34c . You will pay more for a BAAPS surgeon but well worth it. Xxxx

Thats good to hear.. Yeah i worry because im quite the perfectionist that i will want somethig and a surgeon wont be able t do it, and il be unhappy after as its no what i eimagined! I know they arent miracle workers but still ha.

How do you find ou if they are BAAPS registered? Ah beckenham isnt too far actually, i trvael to Lee Green for work everyday ha. Xxxx

Baaps registered surgeons are on the website and you can search the area,
They tend to mainly work from nuffiled, bmi, spire hospitals

We definatly recommend a few consultations Hun even if the first transform one is something to compare the rest to.

Ah good idea!! Yeah i mean i dont want to be too small but i still want the natural looking, not too stuck on looking and i dont want a huge gap in the cleavage.. Is this too much to ask? Haha probs being too picky!
Yeah i live in Greenhithe so not far, about 20-30 mins drive xxx

Ahh very near me then. You would get a bigger version of what you have now. If you have a very wide cleavage now then implants won't change that. Your surgeon will say what he thinks will achieve your desired look.myour not being too picky. After all we pay a lot of money. You should be picky. Xx

Avoid Harley Medical like the plague, their aftercare is non-existant. Just look at the treatment of thousands of PIP's women, they don't care. Definitely get a few opinions, including a BAAPS surgeon. x

Post by CartoonUnicorn 3rd April 2015, 10:54 pm

Welcome to the forum x I'm pre - breast augmentation surgery but went to my nearest place to get my nose done years ago (before I had access to the Internet!) and am now facing revision surgery because of the mess he made. I didn't research, I just thought you could trust all surgeons! So my advice is to choose as carefully as you can. If you need to wait until you can travel a bit, or take more time off, it's MUCH better to do so than go through the physical and emotional agony of needing further operations. Not to mention the further cost! Do lots of research and spend a few hours reading through all the posts here - you will learn a lot and pick up some very valuable advice! The girls on here who have had their boobies done are awesome and very kind:giveu:

Hi Vicky! Absolutely agree with what the girls have advised you here. I've learnt so so much through reading this forum (almost obsessively!) and such a wealth good info here thank u all!!  Worth trying to see a couple more surgeons if h can. I've booked to see 3 surgeons for consultations so far - I live in Brighton and travelling to London for each appt but booked my train tickets in advance so saved a bit of money that way, found surgeons that had good reviews (have seen Norman Waterhouse and next will be Simon Withey then Garrick Georgeu but check out BAAPS website to find ones near you). I had to spread out these appointments over quite a few weeks cos difficult to get time off cos of work and kids - frustrating cos I'm quite impatient lol! You could put a shout out for some recommendations of surgeons on the forum. So much great advice from super supportive people here :-). Good luck Xxx

Morning lovely,

I think there have been a few girls on here who have had problems with khan from transform, kay and malibu spring to mind. do your own research, and again as the above girls have said go and see a baaps or a bapras surgeon, the consultation you will get will be so different. The time it takes now to research and have your consultations will be so beneficial in the long run. I promise  you xx

Baaps.org, you can search local surgeons.

You will have either a spire, nuffiled or bmi in your area.

These are private hospitals

Google spire kent 3 hospitals come up,
Nuffiled Heath is Tunbridge wells and
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

For a few bmi hospitals in kent.

Start at any of these local hospitals you can phone each individual one and see what surgeons operate from them for breast augmentation.

Thankyou so much girls! Your advice is really helping me make a decision :-) ive booked another consultation next week at another company before i meet mr khan on 16th just so i know what to expect!
Its frustrating when a lot of companies expect you to pay for the consultation when that is a important part of decision making and shouldnt feel like your tied in!!!! Xxx

Great advice above! It's worth paying for a consultation....you would any other private medical consultation and you're seeking professional advice and time from a highly trained medical professional. You should look at it the other way....why do some not charge for their time? Ones who don't need to solicit new custom can afford to charge for their time! And they also won't be bias and looking for 'a sale'. A decent £150 cobsultation is a small price to pay for reassurance when you're spendig 4-6k! Who's your other consult with? Enjoy the research!

Yeah i know, i know i shouldn't be budgeting it cause it is such an important surgery to have.. and obis the aftermath if it goes wrong is even worse!!
I have another consultation at Harley Medical Group but i don't think their surgeons are BAAPS registered either! Im going to research online now on BAAPS website and try book a third consultation for more advise!
Anyone recommend any BAAPS surgeons in Kent? or who operate in kent? xxxx

I've just given you the baaps site where you can search by area and again phone the hospitals in your area. They will be able yo advise on what surgeons they have for breast augmentation.

As far as paying for a consult, you're right it is a big part of it, a baaps surgeon won't rush you, you'll get a FULL in depth consulation and as many as you want after free of charge with him/her and have direct contact with them. And as far as being tied in it's the complete opposite they DONT make you feel to have surgery with them they advise what's best For YOU. Not there to make money unlike the Pccs of transform, etc.

Hello, definitely use the baaps website which you can search the for surgeons in your area!

I'm absolutely ecstatic with my results so far I saw a BAAPS in West Yorkshire and I couldn't fault any part of his work.

I also had consultations with THG and HMG for second opinions but they were not half as thorough, didn't measure my breast width at all.

I second what the ladies have said above... what's £100-120 a consultation when your spending £4-5k and have that peace of mind... also normally means you can go back for as many consultations as you like too.

If you feel even slightly worried. don't do it! xx
