Exercising arms!
Ok so I'm sure that there aren't many arm exercises I can do at the min I'm only 17 po, but I'm going on holiday in 3 weeks and my arms are turning to jelly with no going to the gym!! Can anyone think of any exercises I could do? If there is no way then fair enough I don't want to damage me new boobies or spoil my recovery, just wondering?! Xx

Re: Exercising arms!
17 days or weeks Hun? You going aboard? Sorry bit off the topic there. Cans of beans ( or anything really) arms out by your sides inline with shoulders and rotate or up and down, do sets, build up, any pains, stop xx

Re: Exercising arms!
Hey char.... I'm going away when I'm 13 weeks post op and my surgeon said boobs are fine to sunbathe as long as I wear a sensible sun cream but to keep scars well covered, so I'm going to put sun block and a steristrip on them.
Boob skin will just be sensitive to burning, so as long as you protect well with cream you should be ok... That's just my surgeon though xx

Re: Exercising arms!
Haha no problem, yep I'm going to Egypt can't wait for some sunshine and to show the new twins off a little bit! I have got cut out swimming costumes, wore them in Ibiza last summer and they looked rubbish with no boobs but tried them on the other day and they look a million times better!! My surgeon has said that I just need to make sure I put sunblock on my scars to protect them but apart from that its fine xx

Re: Exercising arms!
I'm sure he will agree, where did you hear otherwise?
We only have to be careful because the skin has been stretched, but to be fair unless we want to be prunes by the time we are 35 we should be being careful with our skin anyway!! Where's the fun in having boobs if we can't get them out on holiday!! Xx

Re: Exercising arms!
I was told that the only pigmentation we had to worry about was that of our scars. As I said though, this is my surgeons opinion and I have to be honest he has done a brilliant job of ensuring I don't suffer so far that I trust him.
Everyone seems to have conflicting opinions, but I have been on sunbeds already and have not had any adverse reactions and skin on boobs is soft and supple.
I can't advise anyone on what to do but this is the information I have been given and the information I am acting on :)

Re: Exercising arms!
Yeh he said I can go on sun beds now aswel just cover up scars. It's so confusing we are all given different advice! Lol I'm the same as you Lucy I'm just following what mr mcgeorge has said to me, I think all we can do is just trust what our own surgeon has said to us :-) xx

Re: Exercising arms!
I think so long as we are comfortable and we follow OUR surgeons advice then we should be ok :)
I think the problem is that there is no hard and fast rules so there ends up being a gazillion different conflicting opinions.
All I can do is share my experience and advise others what my advice is, I think we all then need to make out own decisions based on what is right for us :) xx

Re: Exercising arms!
I think it's nice that although advice is often different from girl to girl.... There is nearly always someone who find you that has had the same advice which can also be very reassuring. Xx

Re: Exercising arms!
I know yeh one rule for one another for someone else, everyone's skins different everyone heals different. It's great if your advice is aimed directly to you this means YOUR surgeon knows your skin etc. shall let you know what he says a week on Monday!! Don't worry tink I've stayed away from google!!! Xx
